Celebrate Your Birthday the Right Way!

How do you usually celebrate your birthday?  Does it usually involve balloons, ice cream and cake? Do you usually look forward to the presents you may receive?  Do you hope for a big party with your friends?   Well, all of that is great . . . but for your next birthday, let me suggest you do something a little different to celebrate your birthday.

I celebrated my birthday this year by going to Hawaii.  When I got on the airplane to Hawaii, I enjoyed a fantastic birthday dinner.  What I spent most of my time doing on the flight, though, was reflecting about how amazing the past year has been.  You see, your birthday is not about getting presents or getting drunk at a big party.  Your birthday is about celebrating life.

Your birthday is about celebrating everything in your life that's amazing.  It's about celebrating the past year of your life and seeing how much you've grown.  It's about reflecting.  It's about embracing all the friendships you've had.  It's about appreciating everything.  It's about spoiling the one person you need to spoil every day – yourself.

So that's why I took myself to Hawaii for my birthday.  I sat on a beautiful beach for six days relaxing and reading.  I did yoga, ate great food. . . . and I celebrated what an amazing year it had been.  I even thought about trying surfing.

I celebrated what for me what one of the best years of my life, because getting older means embracing your life every single day.    Although I don't expect presents for my birthday, I always like to think about how many gifts I've been given during the past year.

I have been gifted this year with so many great clients with whom I've worked. I have been gifted with all the fantastic people who work for me and with me to help to build up a great business.  I also continue to be gifted with an incredible circle of friends.

So this year on my birthday, I embraced all of the great things that had happened to me over the past year.  My only birthday wish was that I will continue to make every day better than the day before.

Celibrating life That is most imprtant to remember when celibrating a birthday.A wish for me was,   I never had a helicopter ride. While I was in Sadona Ar. U.S.A. In Sept.07 I had a helicopter ride on the day of my birthday. It was awsome. You can have a birthday every day.  All my life I put others first.I did not mind. No regrets what so ever. My turn is now I can pay myself first now and I do not feel guiltyTreat your self when ever you can. This is the  real thing. Not a dress rehersel.Life is a gift too.            Snooks

I wholeheartedly AGREE, My Birthday is this coming Friday and I am gonna go out and be among nature and friends for my birthday, no drinking or partying, just good fun. Micci

Thank you for reminding me that our birthday is to celebrate our own life ourself! I do not have close family or friends near me, so I tend to get discouraged when I am alone on a holiday, such as my birthday. Mine is in 2 weeks, so I will make plans for myself! I may not be able to afford at this time, to go to Hawaii, but I live on the coast of Maine, and can sit on the beach of the ocean and read a book. That sounds nice! Thanks for the idea--I need to re-look at myself and celebrate my own self! Thank you!

It's sad, but ever since I've been here in Daytona Beach FL, I have never had a chance to celebrate my B-Day with friends.  The People are Embry Riddle Daytona Beach Campus were so hypocrit.  I never made any friends here.  People were hyprocrit there including the professors.  This year, I am thinking what am I going to do ALL alone here in this stupid town.  No friends at ALL.  I am thiking of just driving anywhere here in the state of FL and enjoy my day on my own.  Maybe I should go to my fav. place in the world, Hard Rock, and enjoy the time by myself because I don't have any friends here.
