Even a Coach Can Learn
The moment you stop learning you stop living; you merely just exist.
-Devlyn Steele
I don’t think I have slept in twenty-five years. Yea, yea sounds crazy, I know. Of course I have slept, but have I gotten any rest? One hundred and ten miles an hour and there is always more to do.
Santa Monica, California is filled with leaders in the coaching industry trying to help others improve their lives in many different ways. Recently life presented me with a new opportunity to learn from a coach who has a great goal. Being a student of life I am always open to new lessons. This lesson was on self-care and nurturing oneself.
We live in a fast paced world where the focus is always on what you get done. Taking time to nurture your self might be thought indulgent. Talking about work is good, but we don’t talk about the extra long shower, the nap and other things you might have done to simply feel better.
It might not seem important in the short run. After all, you feel great today. We don’t notice the effects, but the effects are cumulative. It’s not the first cigarette that kills you,
or that first night without good rest.
You can add a higher quality to your life by learning to restore balance with self-care.
This week find ways to do little things to nurture you. That could be a ten minute daily walk or nap. Maybe an extra long shower or bath. Enjoy the sunshine, a song or sit quietly with a cup of tea. Learn to relax and restore your energy.
If you nurture your mind, body and spirit, your time expands. You will gain a new perspective that will allow you to accomplish much more.

Amongst many of the new programs brought to you by leading coaches in the next few months, you’ll find a program geared towards increasing your self-care. You’ll have the opportunity to nurture and restore balance in your life.
Til’ then, take a nap!

Absolutely agree with the learning bit and having balance!! Just spot on!
I can't help but learn every single moment and thats why I love TOOLS. There is someone teaching me something all the time and I am continuously motivated to learn.
Just Fab!
