“Buddy” means a friend or casual acquaintance; a partner for a particular activity.
Let's Be Buddies
Goals, they can be so frustrating. At first when we set a goal, we get excited. We have the initial enthusiasm and belief that we are going to achieve new results. We have energy to start the process and go to the gym to get in shape, save money, or send out resumes—you name it and at first we are getting it done. We just can't seem to keep it up.
Usually in just a few weeks and sometimes within days our motivation runs thin and we start skipping a day, two days, and then stop altogether. Each time we start and stop we have less energy and belief, and the cycle quickens until we just forget about it altogether, returning to our old patterns.
Let's break that pattern. Let's get a buddy. When we work with someone else, we feel an obligation to show up. But, when we're going it alone, we are more likely to make excuses, and to put off work toward accomplishing our goal.
Often you'll notice that people who get a personal trainer already know how to work out. They don’t need a trainer to help them work out, but for that obligation that keeps them going and consistent. We can also achieve this through a buddy.
Tools To Life is all about providing you an environment where you can get support to achieve your goals. This week, reach out and build your support network and help each other through TOOLS towards your goals:
1. Create mutual goals with a friend or friends in TOOLS, or invite people you know to join.
2. Make a plan to check in with each other regularly.
3. Support, motivate, and push each other to keep going.
4. Celebrate your small successes and congratulate each other.
Sometimes we don't have people close to us who are available to support our goals. Or, we may prefer to keep our goals to ourselves. The Internet allows for both. ToolsToLife.com provides a safe place to connect with like-minded individuals who share goals, or you can remain anonymous.
There's always somebody out there who shares the same goals we have. The Web is a great place for like-minded people to come together to create successful change in their own lives and the world around them. We're seeing an amazing community, where people are really helping each other and staying on target; getting things done they need to in their lives to create positive change.
This week reach out, build your support network and be a buddy.
Cheers!
