The Green Frontier

     Picture this.  You look out on the horizon and see nothing but land, forests, meadows and sky.  It is the early 1800s.  You are on a horse, and all of that land says one word to you: Opportunity.  America was built on this concept of open frontiers, opportunity and the belief that with the right resources and hard work, in a Democracy of equal rights, you can reach your full potential. 

     There is a new frontier ahead of us – and you are in on it.  You are here as it begins to take real shape and speed. All of that frontier sits in front of us and calls us to participate in that opportunity.   

     This frontier is not land. We have done that. It’s not the industrial revolution.  We have done that too. It’s not civil rights or the computer age.  It is the green revolution.  It’s about working together to cut carbon emissions and live in a way that is in synchronicity with our planet. 

     We all know it is coming, so how are you going to take advantage of this future?  If you are out of a job, look in green industries.  If you are looking for a new career, look in renewable energy.  If you buy products, invest in responsible ones.  If you make investments, take out loans or use a bank, look at the green track record of the companies that hold your funds.
