I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can always adjust my sails to reach my destination.

The Winds of Our Lives

Yesterday the wind blew all day and night. I love the sound of the wind. As it blows

I feel an excitement and energy. There is an edge of uncertainty as I do not know what the wind will bring.

As I drove, the branches from the trees were all over the road creating an obstacle
course. Sometimes the wind leaves us refreshed; other times it leaves a path of destruction behind, reminding us that we do not have control.

There is a desire to live in the belief that we are in control of our lives. Being in
control is to understand that we do not have control. In life, you need to embrace and
adjust to different winds and their results. How we adjust is the only true control we have.

The winds of your life will not always blow from behind you pushing you easily in the
direction you want to go. You will face strong headwinds which could stop you in your tracks and set you back. You will face wild, sporadic side winds that could take you completely off course; and then you encounter dead calm, with no wind, no energy anywhere, forcing you to find or create your own wind.

No matter what winds you face, you have control over you and what you do. Don't go out
into a storm and scream at the thunder. You will achieve getting wet! Instead, ask yourself, “What can I do to make my life better, given this storm?”

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind; the answer is blowin' in the wind.
                                                                                                                     -Bob Dylan

You can find your answers in any situation. No matter where the wind is blowing from,
no matter what kind of wind it is, there is opportunity for you to adjust, and get to the

destination you choose.

This week instead of feeling overwhelmed, look at what adjustments you need to make to
get where you want in your life, be they physical, emotional, financial or spiritual. It
doesn't matter where you are today, or what the winds are doing; it matters what you choose to do.

This week is, and will be, a great week!

I like to ask myself

"what do I need to learn from this situation?"

The winds of change,

 how they change,

for when the winds grow strange,

 or blow out of range,

then my life I must re-arrange

to compensate for the gusting

It is my decision and it shall be trusting

Inner Voice, conscience whisper

By my choice, I am the victor
