What's In Your Life Stocking?

-Devlyn Steele

As I was shopping the other day, all the typical holiday songs were playing in the background.  You ever find yourself singing and humming along without realizing it? It can drive you crazy having songs you here over and over while shopping stuck in your head.

So there I am singing...

So be good for goodness sake!

-Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Written by J. Fred Coots and Haven Gillespie

He sees you when you're sleeping
He knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake!

O! You better watch out!

You better not cry.

Better not pout, I'm telling you why.
Santa Claus is coming to town.

He's making a list
And checking it twice...

You can look a bit silly at times.  But I didn't stop there, no, the song got stuck in my head and I found myself singing it all day.

Well, you can't help but get a little reflective about your behavior while singing and hearing that song. Then I realized life has the same lesson all year:

You see how you've been sleeping;

What you do when you're awake

You know if you're actin' bad or good

So be good for your life's sake

You better watch out!
You better not cry.
Better not pout, I'm telling you why.

The results you get are comin' to you

It's all about not complaining, taking responsibility for your behavior, and your behavior giving you the results you get in life.  The great thing is you can change and get new results anytime you decide.  Santa gives you a chance to get your act together, and life does too.

Let's fill our life stocking with the results we want. So get excited and smile: you can make your life whatever you want it to be. It is never too late, get into action and fill your life stocking up with the results you want.

Where ever you are and whatever you celebrate as the year comes to a close, the entire Tools To Life staff and I would like to wish you and your loved ones a happy and healthy holiday season.
