In Just Three Weeks.

As I begin week four of Tools, I cannot believe how much I have changed. It is not that I have changed into a different person, someone that I don't recognize. No, on the contrary, I am beginning to recognize the person that is my best self emerging little-by-little.  I catch glimpses of he»

A Jumble of Thoughts

I took the dogs for a walk today despite the snow still on the ground. Walking is good for the soul. As I walked a jumble of thoughts swirled around in my mind. I get many good ideas while I wander the byways. I like the solitude, the chance to withdraw into your own world and listen to the rhythms »

Excuses and the Playground called Life

Well, that was one interesting course this day. *grin*It confirmed again what I deeply believe in: I am responsible. I am the one who lives my life and I am the one who decides and navigates the events that I experience. I can always decide on my attitude towards them. I can always change what I thi»

Changing behaviour

Made it! *g*Today I had this little incident with a guy from the website I work for and he was a bit obnoxious and in my face. *eyes rolling* I sat there, thought about typing something - but not sure what - when it came to me:That was HIS problem, not mine. He had understood something in a way»

Anyone notice the spring in the air? I'm happy to say that I have. The seasons are amazing when one takes the time to notice. Out back a little tree has green cocoon type shapes coming out the tips. The big maple in front has leaves spreading out...still weak from their slumber. A small tre»

Getting Started

I've always felt that there is something behind the veil of day-to-day existence. Time and time again I've tried breaking out of the habits that are keeping me enslaved. I've made progress in my career, relationships, and studies but I often wonder if I'm really living up to my poten»

Easing in to Tools

I am enjoying Tools.  It certainly helped this morning was feeling kind of low, overwhelmed.  Even at the gym...go figure.  Changed that, the point is to be aware of the thoughts and feelings and as soon as you can introduce a new thought.  Life is good,  no feeling is perma»

A Mighty Heart movie

I made arrangements so I could see A Mighty Heart. It's the new film about the kidnap of Daniel Pearle the journalist, from the perspective of his wife. After the credits, I sat in the empty theatre a while, filled with all kinds of emotions. It's three days later and I'm still rocked by»

Change Don't Come Easy

I find that if I have a day in which I pile in a number of positive things, I backslide the next day. Change doesn't come easily to me, and even if it's positive change it scares me. I will probably have to work this program a little more slowly than other people in order to acclimatize. »
