Back in the saddle again!

I biked four miles this morning.  Not a huge deal for someone who used to bike twenty miles a day, but a really big deal for that same someone, me, who finished chemotherapy a year ago.   Last year at this time I ventured out on my bike and couldn't bike even two city blocks, beca »

Stretching, being flexible - yoga class

Dropped coffee down to 1 (large) cup/day

I was concerned about the effect of acidity on my body, plus I wanted to be responsible for not using too much stimulation or artificial energy (adrenaline) as it would affect my health. I am a responsible adult and absolutely do what is healthy for myself, making excellent and clear choices, e »

Flossed, new paradigm of teeth care achieved

Got my teeth deep root cleaned from having those little pockets that my forner dentist didn't deal with.   Just changing a dentist when I sensed something was wrong and deciding to go to one who sounded very conscientious and up to date was a major good achievement. I actually too »

I exercised and I liked it!

Up until now I was willing to do just about anything other than exercise, the thought of forced, physical activity was just a turn off.  Anytime I have lost weight I told myself I would rather control what went into my mouth than do any type of exercise, and I was disiplined enough to follow th »

sudden realization!

When I was thirty-five, I was almost bedridden with fibromyalgia.  I could barely do anything.  Myself, I think it was swallowed rage.  But whatever it was, I was not physically well.So this morning, at my tender age of 49, I realized how much better I feel now than I did then.  »

Oatmeal

I am so excited because I feel like I am changing something significant.  As I've mentioned in a blog, I think I have been restricting my calories for so long, I've really squashed my metabolism.  I've been reading and reading about how to get my metabolism going again.  M »
