I was out of town day one and two - and totally forgot about the challenge until i got to a computer yesterday - Then I gladly took 20 min. and listened to the stillness - It was a perfect place - no one around and so quiet - I planned for 15 min. and i think i drifted off for an extra 5! now thats relaxed! |

You might want to check out Oprah's website. The section called Spirit has a wonderful display of awesome photos there just for meditation or relaxation. todayalone | Breathing The comments on prana in the Sunday Inspiration made me think back to when I was practising Yoga regularly, including breathing and concentration exercises, and to how much better I felt then. I'm finding the Challenge difficult at the moment but we are only at the beginning. By the end of it we should be feeling calmer and more relaxed.

erinsav | Going Good Second day of the 15 minutes of silence. It seems that when I first sit down to do this I get almost nervous. I guess I'm just not used to it.
Once I get going though... I find that I am sitting with a smile on my face. I'm really glad that I joined this challenge. |

todayalone | Noise Yesterday I took the clock out of the room before I started the sybd session but today I didn't think about it. I found the sound of it ticking was really intrusive so I hope I won't make the same mistake again. |
so2u | The "noise" thing Thank you for your suggestions and questions Shandra and erinsav; you both bring new light and awareness to our Tools Community and this Challenge.
Below is an answer to a blog question and I want to print it here for those it may help.
"You can get ear plugs made of wax or other soft material at most drug stores. You may want to start with meditation music and put on ear phones if the noise is keeping you from SYBD... and remember to Breathe... so2u
Comfortable and inexpensive ear plugs can be a real help if you are in a noisy environment.
There is excellent meditation music made especially to help "still your mind". I will be posting some suggestions later.
If any of you want to share your experiences or suggestions about how you handle the "noise" factor please comment.

Sahndra_om | I found... this meditation CD I picked up at a spiritual fair about 4 years ago. I didn't do anything with it past buying it. Here is another time my little voice tells me to look in a drawer and there it was saying "here's what you need"-lol! Anyway I was telling Green_Raven about it personally but then figured I would share it w/all of you wonderful people. Just this morning after listening to it I looked on the back of it and there was a web site: www.TransformationalTools.com. The site is like a store with all sorts of meditation/spiritual tools and you can also get a spiritual newsletter,free. I currently have:Crystal in the Heart,Awakening the Light Grid. It rocks!!! erinsav | Off To A Great Start I had been wanting to try meditation for a while but just haven't.
Today I was able to sit still for the 15 minutes and guess what... I LOVED IT.
I'm so glad I found this challenge. |
![]() | There is a group Called Meditation with 82 members....not very active at the moment...first I thought of joining it...then I said to myself ...what I want is like a online Meditation sanctury...no discussions....just pictures that takes your breath away...music...videos...and I was thinking...like someone can announce...Meditaion at TTL Thursday EST at 8pm for 15min...join me....and all like minded people who can spare the time...can commune from all over the world...and sign in for the event....how kool is that or crazy???....we have great great potential here at TOOLS.....waiting for us to act......collection of human consciouness...I am just excited at the thought...i know i know...bye bye puja??? I can't help it...Puja being Puja....lol
anyways I was also thinking what if I can do like a 1min on the spot mediation at 5am then at 12 noon and at 4pm and bedtime 10.30 pm...centering all through the day...yeh...all in good time...see ya

![]() | Wow what a Grrreat Grrreat group of people!!! Guys I must say this challenge for me is the all important one. I generate all my energy and enthusiasm from this one. Its is particularly helping me with my BIG MOVE from NJ to MA. And thats was the first reason I started it.Coz I knew I was going to get lost in all that madness. This challenge keeps me centered.
I have some GRREAT GRREAT NEWS TO SHARE WITH YOU. This is my first public share of this news. WE have a contract to sell our beautiful immacualte home. And more importantly we have been praying that someone who really really need a home sweet home to come forward. And as it turns out we are selling to a recently divorcee who has custody of two teenage kids is buying our home so the kids can go to the same school. I tell you I am pretty impressed with the buyer and how generous they are to give us a fair price for our property at this low balling market. And I know they will really really enjoy it....coz I love our home...and happy for them to nestle in it with my huge collection of plants and wonderous birds it attracts.
Onwards as SO2U would say :) Guys I am really enjoying reading all your comments. Shandra..thanks much for sharing yuor meditation tips...I love all of them all. Thanks for all the question...I have replied you guys in person. You comments are what keeps us going and keeps us sparks....so everytime I get a comment from this challenge...my heart leaps and sings...I just love it. So THNak yoUUUUUU.
That last video I put in my latest blog keeps me thinking I must create a mediation center. So that someone can take refuge when they are tired, stressed or just lost. Most likely you will find I would set it up.

Sahndra_om | It helps to... Light a candle or incense to signify that this a sacred experience. To be honest I chant OM three times before I start and it helps to settle down and feel connected. Try it. It does feel silly at first but very neat when you get done. Hard to explain so try it for yourself and let me know what you think. LOVE AND LIGHT-SAHNDRA |

so2u | What a great group to sit with-!! PJ has done it again... found a group of "do"ers who are committed to sitting quietly for 15 minutes and listen to their "inner voice". There is a balance to 'do'ing and 'be'ing that helps with anxiety and gives clarity to our intentions. So welcome each of you. PJ will deliver the joyful part and I will do my best to help with the more difficult parts as we "train our brains" and bodies to Be Still and Know...
