Burst of Smile Joy and laughter through Stillness

Goal per member: 15 minutes

Meditation.

Following is a guide for experiencing stillness from SO2U. Which we have used in previous stillness challenges .

SIT YOUR BOTTOM DOWN
 (SYBD)

That's IT, the key to your success for experiencing the Stillness.

1. It's the first and MOST important step to getting there is to just DO IT...
SYBD.

2. The second and equally important step is your  intention to
SYBD for a minimum of 15 minutes a day.

No matter: how you feel (no excuses) you can SYBD...
No matter: what you think (no excuses) you can SYBD...
No matter: how little time  (no excuses) you can SYBD...
No matter: how many thoughts (no excuses) you can SYBD..

For a minimum of 15 minutes a day

3. The third necessary step is to create a place/space (with pillow, chair, alter... what ever you choose) and return to that same place/space  with the intention to SYBD for a minimum of 15 minutes a day.

4. The fourth step is to realize that  your thoughts will never go away so you CAN feel the Stillness. At your center you ARE that Stillness. So watch out for enemy #1 the thoughts that are unceasing,  especially when one is learning to SYBD, and thoughts are often the strongest when you first sit still. You are training your brain, forming a super-highway-synapse to the place/space of Stillness.  A necessary path to your inner JOY where your inner voice listens and inspires.

5. The fifth step (and the reason the first one is so hard) is to breathe between your thoughts. Breathe in Stillness, breathe  out distractions  (even if you are distracted the entire 15 minutes). Have a thought... return to the breath. Breathe in (deeply) breathe out slowly and completely before starting again. Breathe in, breathe out. As you make a habit of SYBD for a minimum of 15 minutes a day your inner stillness will grow. Each day you are planting  seeds that are taking root. Little by little  they are becoming strong like a tree with branches to hold all your concerns and all your  "soul-usions" as you rest and re charge in it's Stillness and Joy.

Stillness becomes a beacon of light enabling us to see clearly the excuses and lies we tell ourselves that prevent us from the strength and power that comes from deep within us.

Stillness focuses us and we do our work better to fulfill our family and social duties, besides being a decisive influence on our relationships with others.

Stillness makes us strong in trials and difficulties, becoming a part of ones foundation (Tools)  in the ups and downs that come with life.

Remember the first and most important step to Stillness, Peace and Joy it brings is to:
 SYBD
for a minimum of 15 minutes a day in your place/space in the mists of the unceasing thoughts (enemy #1) and allow the Strength and Power of the Stillness deeper inside you to become greater...the thoughts will fall into the background and there you are where "Stillness Speaks".

In Joy,

Susan

redhmodredhmodCount me in PJ
Thanks PJ for starting another challenge!!  Redhmod
erinsaverinsavThis One Fits Me Perfectly

For months now I have been trying to get myself to start meditating.

I keep thinking, tomorrow I will take 15 minutes to do this... it never happens.

I would love the accountability of a group challenge. I'm in.

Sahndra_omSahndra_omHappy to be here!!
Just starting to meditate again. I have been making myself do this for ten mins. in the morning. More than happy to do 15mins. I have noticed that if I miss doing this I feel like I missed something all day. Also another thing I have found to help w/those thoughts that keep creeping in is to have a pad of paper and pen handy to jot down a couple of word pertaining to persistent thought and this helps me let it go for the moment. Thank you again PUJA and So2u! LOVE AND LIGHT-SAHNDRA
todayalonetodayaloneCount me in!

I find it very hard to make myself keep still and relax so this will not be an easy challenge for me, which probably means I need it more than most.

EsperanzaEsperanzaA bit confused

The challenge sounds like a good one and I joined but - not sure what the chart means.  Is this a current challenge or an upcoming challenge?  it says to click the icon to enter the "goal for the day" - isn't that the 15 min.? or is it to record if you did it that day? I'm thinking it's probably easier than I'm making it .. as it's the days end and I am very weary.

Will check back in tomorrow.

Guys welcome to Our Meditation Center Here at TOOLS :)

Apprecite your support and enthusiasm. I think as So2U has said inthe past it is most important challenge for me. Its not even a challenge. Its only a challenge coz I need to remember to get into a routine to center myself each day. But onec I do that the PURE JOY I generate out weighs the time i dedicate. More importantly I can do all my work double quick and energise others at the same time. Thnaks you for being here to help me achieve this.

Anyone who can't attend this challenge please don't worry......we understand totally. Thanks for dropping by. Appreciate it.

Cheers

PJ
