Get into shape/Staying Fit

Goal per member: 900 30 days

Excercise/weight loss. I had been excercising about 5-6 days a week for 2-3 months, but then had some personal problems come up and am finding it very hard to get back into the excercise schedule.  So I'm looking for some help from some friends and vice versa.  If we can all motivate each other to reach the goal we will all feel better about each other by the end of the 30 days.

Well, mostly walking that weekend, but today was our anual yard clean up. I think it was closer to three hours of yard work...but I'll say only two of really hard work.

I totally slacked off on the weekend.. My friend came to visit me because I'm in school right now and I ended up pigging out all weekend and watching movies.. I feel like terd. It's really true that when you eat moderately, exercise and get sleep (seems so simple) you feel so good about yourself. When I pigged out and ate more than my fill of thanksgiving dinner I felt like a piece of you know what after. Lesson learned.. ;)

I'm actually suprised how this is working. For a bunch of strangers to come together and motivate one another is pretty cool. Hope all is well with everyone. Im eating like a machine again and progressing every session I have whether it's by five pounds or five minutes. I'm still slacking on abs though why is that such a pain in the ass?

Besides, slacking because of travelling for Thanksgiving one day this weekend things are going good.  Slowly stepping up my workouts.  Hope to be back up to were I was at the end of this challenge.

I know personally i feel awesome the rest of the day after I work out.  Im kinda strange in that i also really enjoy the soreness involved after working out also.  Love the feeling of my body telling me i did something good for it Smile

Unfortunatly day one I had to work late. But we are under way so I cant get wait till later this afternoon. How awesome of a feeling is it when you have finished a good workout? Thats been my drive for a while hopefully you all feel the same.

Hello everyone, I just recently joined this website. I can't wait to get started on this challenge. I want to get into shape for myself. I've already started doing very good with eating healthy choices (minus the occasional chocolate bar ;) ) and I want to improve my life by feeling healthy all the time. I know exercise is a very important part of overall health but for some reason it's more difficult for me to be enthusiastic about exercising than it is for me to be excited about healthy meals. I'm glad to be able to join this group and can't wait to get started. sometimes I just need a little support on lacing up those running shoes!

I currently go to the gym 3-4 days a week and have been for the past year. I sometimes miss a day or two each week and this looks like a good challenge to keep me motivated and wanting to progress as well as moivate you all to do it to. That said its nice to meet you all :)

I’ve been finding more and more excuses not to exercise lately so this challenge comes at the right time to help me get back on track.My plan would be to go back to the gym [weights, cardio, stretching] two or three times a week, line dancing once and some form of cardio [walking, tapes, etc.] another two or three days, maybe have one day off if I feel like it.I’m sure we will all be much fitter after the 30 days by supporting each other.

I usually do about a half an hour on the eliptical machine i have, but i want to push that up to 40mins.  And when im done with that I lift weights for about half an hour to 45 mins, with a cycle of one day shoulders, next back, next chest, and i do 4 lifts a day.  I try to lift 5-6 days a week depending on whats happening in my schedule.  Ive been doing this routine for a while now but lately ive definatly been slacking on it.  I need to make sure I do this more consistantly and hopefully I can increase the intensity a little bit.  with a little nudge from some friends i think i can acheive that Smile
