Hosselman,

She gives more suggestions as the days pass so hang in there, i was feeling the same way when I started...but I basically work out of my car all day....so what I found tastes good cold is boneless pork, chicken and turkey...change things around by using different seasonings, Mrs. Dash makes some really good ones.  Cooking with chicken broth and/or water keeps the meat tender so it is not so dry when you eat it cold out of your car or whatever...also depending on the climate you live in buy a portable thermos bowl and heat it before you leave in the am and it stays warm for a few hours. (I am in MN so that didn't work as well for me)  I am also looking into purchasing a portable heater/cooler that you plug into your lighter in your car they run $80.00+ depending on size and brand..I hope that helps!

Hello

i am on day two now and i have to trow everything away i used to eat. I eat bread in the morning or serial/milk, I eat bread in the afternoon and i eat bread in the midday. I have to trow away almost everything is eat and now i only have water, vegatables and fruits left. What should i eat to go with that ? it seems like the only thing that iss left is rice but rice takes to long to cook in the morning.

BdaBdaLet's do it!
I set up "The Body Makeover Continues" Challenge set to start in two days.  Hope to see you there!

If you do start another challenge, I'll be happy to join.

Thanks Alisa and Devlyn for teaching me to rethink and take control.  That is a greater success than the 13 pounds I have lost over the last several weeks.  I am making more careful choices and deciding before I consume calories whether I will feel better from doing so or not.  It's not easy, but I'm worth it!  Thank you.

I still have a lot to lose so I shall be contnuing the program.

BdaBdaMy reward - something simple and fun

I wanted to give myself a pat on the back for completing this program and making positive changes....not to mention getting results. But I was't sure what exactly to do.

It came to me on Tuesday. Just before the Inauguration took place, I found myself suddenly and unexpectedly sobbing.  I'm not sure what that was all about.  It was just overwhelming to watch it all. What a moment in time and what a feeling.

And then it hit me.....time with the ladies in the beauty parlor.  For some reason, pampering in the parlor works for me. What a great way for me to celebrate!

No, it wasn't an invitation to a ball wearing a beautiful gown with lots of bling.....but for me it was the next best thing.

WordbirdWordbirdAnswers to questions and feedback

Answers or beginnings to answers:

1. We added the Health Precautions tool after some of you were started. It does start on Day 1 so we're good there, thank you. It's great you agree it is well placed at the beginning.

2. Graduate support group will start shortly. It will be a Body Makeover support group and is in preparation right now.

3. Recipes: We added some more signposts in the beginning to let you know when to expect what. This way fewer people will start cooking or dieting or exercising before Alisa wants them to. She designed in preparation days, and that's why recipes don't start earlier.

Please continue to send any questions or concerns directly to Coach Steele, or share them here. I see LOTS of weight loss happening!

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to try Body Makeover. I have lost 7 pounds so far and am sure I will continue to lose as I keep using the program

I received an e-mail inviting me to go to the Graduate Support Group but access is denied. Is it necessary to have already graduated from Tools to Life to enter and, if so, is there a separate support group for Body Makeover?

I have really wanted to focus on my weight for a while and get it down. This program came at just the right time. A couple of things that I noticed about the program format. I noticed that the Health guidelines came in quite late, I am sure there is a reason, but think that they should have come in earlier. for the recipes, I didn't use them but appreciated reading them. I would think that many people may need more help earlier on, so perhaps there is an opportunity to have a recipe register somewhere on the site. I believe that this program would be very difficult for some people to initially get there heads around. After you take away, wheat, sugar, dairy and coffee, for most people this is their life. The water is thing that got me through all of the above. All in all, as I was already a Tools member was very used to format, but this may take some getting used for newbies. Thanks so much for allowing us to test this program, I truly appreciate it. Good luck for the future and lastly, was curious how you make this into a 42 day program (which I see as highly beneficial!) Thanks again and have a great day! Angie

Good for you Bda!!
BdaBdaQualitative data from the weekend

I made a quick trip to the Catskills this weekend to ski with some friends.  I got great feedback as well as some validation on how critical it is to stick with the program.

When I walked in the door, everyone just stood there looking at me with their mouths open. For a minute I thought maybe I had food in my teeth, my blouse was unbuttoned, or maybe had used my lipstick more like a crayon and had colored way outside the line.

Then finally my friend Deb spoke up with a smile. She said I looked great and have been loosing weight! Then she gave me a big congratulations hug.  Last time I saw her was just two weeks ago.

It never occurred to me that other people would actually notice a change - not with single digit weight loss. It was great to hear the compliments.  I also received a bit of inquiry from a fellow skier.

I packed all the food I would need to have for the trip.  As I ate scrambled eggs with veggies, brown rice and a banana before we hit the lift, one person commented that he felt sorry for me because of what I was eating.  He had a grimace look on his face. (He was having bacon, eggs and waffles)

All I could do was look at him and smile! I told him how great I felt and that what I was eating was giving me life....and to please not waist any sorrow on me.

Later in the day as everyone else was munching on carrots and celery with dip...and chips and sandwiches, I was eating turkey meatloaf, rice and an apple.  Again - another comment from the same guy.  "You must have really great willpower."  All I could do was shake my head and reply "it is not about will power.  It is all about how I think" More looks of confusion and no time to get into it all - it was time to head back out to the slopes and I wasn't interested in a debate.

I also managed to have a sodium free dinner at a great Japanese restaurant and take home plenty of left overs. Since I had eaten my portable protein, I didn't have the need to eat everything in front of me.  The last meal the others have was 6 hours earlier and I watched each one come very close to cleaning thier plates with some generous portion sizes.  And laced with all the high sodium sauces.

That was a valuable lesson to observe on the need to eat every few hours - no matter what. Without knowing about the sodium impact on weight loss  - I would have not hesitated to join them.

I have lost 5 pounds on this program and 4 before I startd so I am 1 pound away from my goal.  The inches are dropping and my scale measurement of percent body fat is down several units.  It is time to get some new clothes - I look like a bag lady and it feels great!

The dietary and work out info combined with the train the brain is a powerful tool for me with finally getting some results. Time to set another goal for myself.

Congrats to all the weight losers on the Body Make Over!

Thanks Tools and Alisa and Kris for bringing the community a great program that gets it done.

jfouellettejfouelletteI made it to the end :)

Wow...19 days and I lost 11 pounds...I feel so much better and it is now fun to be conscious of what is good and not good and being able to see the consequences.

I have 9 more pounds to lose to achieve my goals but I now I feel I am on the right path to do it.

Thanks again TTL team for this great program and Alisa, you were a great coach.

So reach the finish line, you will be surprise and you can always battle with excuses later.
