SutterSutterYes, stage one; done!
so I lost the 20lbs and plus, but it took a lot longer, however, I decided to change my lifestyle as well, for I know, that I go back to my old ways, I will just get it all back. And then some. I've lost about 27lbs, all together, and I am going to go for another 10, and that should be it.
SutterSutterstuck
I am stuck, just stuck, but I keep working on it, little by little, that's all I can do. Somehow my weight is not coming down anymore. It seems like I need to take drastic measures to help, I've done everything but starved, so I guess I am going to have to do that. Dunno!
SutterSutterneed to say this
you know, I seem to want to just stay in my "comfort zone" no matter how destructive it is, which is why I am not losing it faster. I have real problem with evening snacks, or downright eating, although I must say I do better during days, so it does compensate, and in the end I am losing weight, slowly but yes, it is going down. It is just so darn frustrating. From this, I am not too far away from getting depressed and melancholy, and that spells trouble, that is an emotional area where I find it so hard to take care of myself. So I eat. And I am too distracted to focus up and do my exercises.
SutterSutterwe are all winning
Independantnspirit, just keep going, I too get stuck from time  to time, but I keep doing small things, and they add up eventually. And boy am I glad that I can always start again the next day.
independantspiritindependantspiritYou are doing great
Sutter and KayKay you are both doing so good. I am not sure if I am up or down at this point. Some days it shows two pounds down and some days it is where I started. I just keep watching and walking. Good luck to both of you and congratulations.
SutterSutterIt is happening

well, slow yes, but it is going down, and each day seems to give me more motivation, so while doing this in 30 days maybe tough, no matter what the scale says, it is for the better...........

independantspiritindependantspiritI knew it would be slow
I do good to lose 1 to 2 lbs a week so I am pleased. Been walking and watching what I eat and no sweets which is my downfall.
SutterSutterslowly ever so slowly
well, I am at 224, but I am not cruising at all, this is tougher than I thought..............but I will press on.........
SutterSuttermonday
Ok, it is looking good, I had a good workout yesterday, I am in the mood, that is for sure, ánd lost a couple(no biggie, but it helps)
SutterSuttersunday
So, I am 227 lbs. That is it. Lord help me. I am facing a challenge, but it just has to be done. I have thought about it and thought about it for years, actually. I remember when I quit smoking(long time ago) but I tried everything, cigars, pipe, all sorts of "I will only smoke when..." but none worked, until one day, I just had it, I was ready, and never smoked after that. (well, I did inhale a few times, but that does not count....) Anyway, I feel like I am at that point now. Just have to stick to it. I am off to races. I will report soon.
independantspiritindependantspiritSunday morning
I weighed myself at 7 this morning at 139lbs. Hate to admit that but there it is. I will weigh and record next Sunday meanwhile I am heading out for a walk. Wish me luck.
independantspiritindependantspiritWeighing in
It is now 7 p.m. and the challenge just started. I will weigh in the morning and record every Sunday morning and on the last day. I think that should work. Debbie
kaykaykaykaygo for it,
hey i lost 20 lbs in a month before. when i was pregnant i weighed 200, after she was born i weighed 165. butwhen i went from 165 to 145 i had health problems that helped me. i had a really bad gull bladder so i was barely able to eat anything without have attacks. dropped that twenty lbs just like that. but of course then i started smoking again so that sucks but try try and try again right ill do it
SutterSutterweight training
I agree on weight training, and although it is kind of tough for me in the mornings, I like that "before my brain knows" idea, I'll give it a shot. Also, I am not sure how to edit this, as I too find it kind of difficult to lose 20lbs in 30 days, but why dont we just go for it, I think the old saying goes something like "if you reach for the stars, you might not get them, but you wont have mud on your face either"...........
independantspiritindependantspiritWeightg Training

Putting on a little muscle will help you lose weight. It will change the shape of your body and give you energy. I walk early in the morning before my brain knows it is doing it and I can work up a storm after. To lose the 20 lbs we will just have to do this challenge over a couple of time. I am with you.

SutterSutterhere's my commitment
the biggest obstacle I have is just to get going, and I just realized that things like the environment that I live in, are either conducive or not for getting out and excercise, to do the things I know I have to do. My eating habits are like 80% ok, I still do some snacks in the evenings, and sometimes candy, but my real problem is the lack of exercise. Period. And you should listen to me when I come up with alllll kinds of excuses, and not do it. I just dont know, but I will work on my environment(i.e., have my gear easily available, running shoes, etc.) and I will now commit myself to at least 3 x a week, and minimum of 30 mins each time. Let's how it goes, no........actually, just watch me.............
SutterSuttercorrection
yes, you are so right, I can not do 20lbs in a month, that is true as far as the physical reality is, however, emotionally, I am sooo ready to lose it in a week, if I only could!
independantspiritindependantspiritNo possible
I just realized you have a goal of 20 lbs in 30 days. That is not healthy. The body will only give up approximately 2 lbs per week of fat after that you are losing muscle, organs, water. If this was for three months it would make more sense.
independantspiritindependantspiritHello
I put on some extra weight the other winter and still have 15 to fit in my summer clothes. When do we record our loss.
kaykaykaykayyay
20 lbs be right in my goal weight which is cool  good luck!
