Giving up what we don't need

Goal per member: 30 days

daily leaving something behind.

I've just gone 29 days without coffee.  A huge step for me so thought I'd increase on this.

For the next 30 days the challenge will be to give up something each day you do not need.  This could be additional food items...ie pastry, fried foods, fast foods etc / Could also be giving something away that we do not need ie  extra clothing, food in the pantry that is excess, stuff that's lying around.  This also could be something different each day.  Just log in and let everyone know what you gave up or away for the day.  Keep a running day total in the chart.

Personally I am really going to push myself.  No added table salt for 30 days.  This is very difficult since I'm the kind of person that could eat salt out of my hand. lol

What will you choose to give up or give away?  Let's challenge ourselves and dig a little deeper. A positive step forward....

Any questions?  Please send me a message.

Love to all,

Doll

DollDollCongrats!

to all for taking part of this challenge.  You worked hard and achieved great goals!

I'm still working on my salt challenge and believe this is going to be ongoing!

dr_julydr_julyJust wanted to say hi

I missed updating my posts here towards the end. But I have to thank you all and especially Doll, who had me going on a roll these past few weeks and am loving every second.

cheers,

autumn mistautumn mistHELLO CONFESSION BOX ...

Whoopsie ... I mucked it upInnocent.  With so many challenges around (sitting seriously on the "boosting"), I must have accidentally misinterpreted the "giving up" as the "positive" challenge; and since the "positive" was done days ago, I madly feasted on my custard (missed it, too!) with fruits and honey.  Same thing went with my fish (Barramundi) and scallops.   As well as mushroom, broccoli, flat sliced potato and pineapple in tin, I battered my fish and scallops and deep fried them in batches.  Oh, and along with these, I also did pineapple in tin (pineapple fritter, that is).  OmiLord!!!  The whole thing was DELISH!!!  I miss doing these (it's always part of the household, at least once a week), and when I made it, I felt like it was the best battered fish/scallops & components I've ever did.   It was heavenly nice (I almost forgot whether I was a girl or a boy!SurprisedLaughingSealed).  What I'm trying to say is that - when we give up things that we go mad about ... and come back to revive it, you really feel like crazy going about it.   Am I right?  Correct me if I'm wrongCool).

Anyway, since we've only got few days left, I'll try to be good and true to myself;   and be a bit on the rein.  Otherwise, I'm still keeping my promise for the rest.

Keep up the good work, guys - you're all doing great (don't follow the Mist .... coz .... you'll be amiss!).   Enjoy the remaining days - get challenged!  Sending you all good thoughts, love, sunshine and bubbles.  My name is Geoff, I'm off!

Cheers,

Autumn MistKiss

DollDollAlmost at the end

How's everyone doing?

What did you learn about yourself?

I found that giving up salt was far more difficult than I thought it would be.  UGH!

I can easily give away stuff I have but not adding that wee bit of flavour was just out of reach for me.

Perhaps I'll try again.

CocoCocoTotally changed

so after starting this challenge. I cleaned out the cupboard. Gave away foods I wasn't going to consume to friends and to charity shop. Stopped buying sugar , coffee, tea. And meat products. Educated kids on eating fish, fruits and veg. Kids got to drink juices , munch on veg and fruits. Havne' tboiught chocolates sweet for few weeks.Instead I have been giving them more pocket money and teaching them how to buy stcks in the stock market. On theor favourite toy companies. So they are having fun checking on stock market instead of TV.

Haven't made it to the theatre yet but having money put away for the specila occation. saving that came from not buying junk.

I am so sorry I haven't updated everyday. I logg from work on my break.

To continue the GOOD work I have Joined Doll's Fit for Life group.

Coco x

dr_julydr_julyDid really well for today

but needed my coffee:) . sometimes you have to sacrifice a small item for the larger purpose.

Doll, you are doing great as well. I am sure you will catch up pretty soon.

cheers,

DollDollOh my

I seem to set before me the impossible!

My challenges just slip through my fingers.  Need to look at this differently.

You are all doing so well.  Congrats!

Doll

dr_julydr_julyNoy, you are doing great!!!

Just do as much as you can. Sending you, PJ & Nichole many positive boosts to keep your energy stores replenished:).

Hope you all are doing well.

dr_julydr_julyfound myself really tired

towards the end of this week. On a positive note, I was able to put in at least 10 constructive (though gruelling) hours for 12 days in a row.

Spent most of this sat sleeping and eating.LOL

cheers,

autumn mistautumn mistGAVE UP FIVE
  • My hobby (completely) - might come back doing it next year
  • My gardening (completely) - half of my pot plants had dried, anyway (result of last year and this year's Summer and Winter onslaught).  Majority are self-sustaining, so not much is going to be missed.
  • Week-end esplanade stroll plus coffee pleasantries (not missing out much, with this year's winter chill, though)
  • Walking my dog to the beach
  • Walking my dog within the neighborhood.

Justification:

Winter is a little bit unkind this year.  And all the above is just not feasible for me to do (as compared to the previous winter seasons - health issues).  Anyway, the consoling news is that ... I could be glued to doing other worthwhile things within my boundaries here (and won't be missing my outdoor dalliance for a while).  As for the last two - I've got tennis balls (for front and back yards) and few bouncing "kongs" inside the house (to please my general - exercise and fun).  She's so enjoying it, and I'm loving it.

Clap, splash, brush, smile (boost included!).  Have a great day everyone!

Cheers,

Autumn MistKiss

autumn mistautumn mistDOLL, I JUST JOINED THE SQUADRON

I joined PJ's squadron just now.  You are lifted and boosted.  I hope that helps ... for your tomorrowCool.  This is AM cheering.  G'day, girl!

DollDollThanks PJ

I know you are right.

I've don't remember hearing about the head following the heart.  I really like that!  Makes perfect sense to me.

With renewed inspiration I'm off and running!

autumn mistautumn mistGIVING UP ...
  • Socializing (at halt momentarily)
  • Other little comforts (which I'm used to).  Doing other highly prioritized agenda, instead.

Peace, love and light.

Cheers,

Autumn MistKiss

DOLL THE BOOST SQUAD IS ABOUT

TO GIVE YOU A BOOST :) you  just been boosted tom it is going to another story

If giving up is so easy there wouldn't be need for TTL. We won't have to do a challenge.

We are going to have highs and lows.Unless you understand my theory No 2. Martin had to run and get an asprin when he read my blog....har har har

Have you heard the sayign throw your heart over the fence and the rest will follow. Heart has to go first. Not your mind. We always try and achieve our goals by telling our minds we are going to do this...but the heart is set on something else....heart doesn't follow the mind.....mind has to follow the heart.

Set your heart on something excellent to read..or whatever.....set your heart on fire....rest is history :)

love you loads....hope you don't need an asprin...see ya

PJ ;) lol

DollDollNot doing well...

This is becoming so difficult for me.  I give myself a challgenge by the end of the day I've blown it.

Help!!!!

Good luck with restarting

I think Day 1 is the best. If we do Day 1 correctly then all the other days will follow like a dream. So Jump out of bed so to speak with a clap....don't worry about any body....you are doing great.

Keep a diary it really helps. Buy a smily face and put it on your desk the more you smile the better your day.

You are doing grrrreat..keep going

see ya

PJ :)

I gave my progress up in TOOLS in the sense that I was on Day 43. Doing relatively well. But I was not pleased with the way things were so started all over and am now at Day 2. It actually is nice to start over
