SIT YOUR BOTTOM DOWN

Goal per member: 30 minutes

Meditation.

We all struggle to find and keep our enthusiasm and energy at a constant level. Most of us find there are good days and bad. There is one good way to reach and connect to the very core of our being thats is constant. The INNER STILLNESS thats unperturbed by positives and negatives at the surface of our lives experiences.

 

As Eckhart Tolle says if we compared our lives to a pond. when we throw a stone it forms ripples at the surface of the water. But way down below the water sits still. Our lives are like that on the surface there are job loss, some sad news...like separation, divorce, death , fear etc etc which can throw us off balance. We loose energy and enthusiasm in minutes of hearing bad news or fearing bad news. But there is a part of us(inner giant) that is unperturbed.

 

When we reach to this INNER GIANT which is a sleep in us most of the time...we release its pure potential ....rush through like a bolt of lightening. To inspire us and others even in our deep dark moments.To unleash the spark that ignite our passion all we need to do is SIT OUR BOTTOM DOWN :)....its that simple yet extemely POWERFUL.We need to do this each day and eventually we will be connected to it all the time. Hence eliminating the possibility of fear and totally immersed in LOVE.

 

This is what we have been doing in our so called Stillness challenge.

 

I have personally struggled to Sit my bottom down for more than 3 minutes at a time. This 3 little minutes gives me all the energy and more to carry on. However i am striving each day to add more just imagining how much potential I will able to unleash from the very SOURCE I am connected to.

  

So here's me inviting you to choose 1 minute to 3 min , 10 mins or 15 whatever you choose and reap all your goals. More we sit still.... more focussed we become and have the energy and enthusiasm to propell us into our goals in life without fail and stay true to our purpose.

 

 

To find the continuous stream of that energy let focus on SITTING OUR BOTTOMS DOWN :)   

 

Lets go!

so sorry for disappearing like that. But I am happy to share with you all that it's becoming easier to SYBD everyday so much that it's become a part of my daily routine.

Sorry guys!!!  I didn't have the face to come forward (and at least post!) for a number of reasons.

 

No, I'm not making the Boost Challenge as an excuse (hmmmm.... maybe, yes, somehow).   I'm just so into it and is glued into doing a number of things (thinking even in my sleep on how to go about it ... crazy, but ---- it's a different challenge for me now).  Anyway, no excuses.  Except, at this very moment, I may not still have time to sit still as my "bum is a bit sore" (too much boosting .. and I'm bursting at the bottom).

 

No, seriously, I'll try to be calmer (like Puja) and slowly start tomorrow.  I promise to start with it ... and do the boosting later.

 

Omigosh, my table is bloomin' empty!  First thing to do when I get up?  SYBD, even for less than 5 minutes.

I spoke too sonn about getting used to 30 min...weekend...woooooshhhh past me...thank God for coach's podcat for 3 to 5 min on visluals.....without that I would beeen lost....tea time I promise to sit for 30min ...see ya

o.kkkk I am kinda getting used to this approach...30 min sitting down...no other distraction other than my thoughts to be challenged with. Then it occured to me ....thats really my only challenge in life. My thoughts....you might say well I am glad you got the straight...yey...why didn't i think of that before.

 

I know thats what TOOLS is all about. Never fully understood the POWER of thought until I totally removed it for a period of time :)

i start to talk 1/2 way through....Like E Tolle says ...if we talked out loud ..people will think I have lost it lol...anyways...pushing all frontiers...thanks for all the BOOSt I am unable to sit down...anyways not complaining...coach says no complain no compalins

You are so sweet..I love the way you say....Alert....just love it...will check it out...So2U I am trying a new technique...I said to myself I am going to put 30 mi on the clock ...and I am going to sit my you know what down....so yes I wander but I come back....it like what WB says ...I feel rushed to do the next thing and the next and the next...as long as I am doing something I am happy...can' t sit....so I am training my brain to sit...Love the post WB...loved the kitten bit...ye you are right it is about getting that comfy place...where you can jus be chilled....you make me laugh too a lot about the guy who messed up your spot...but I am sure its not amusing....but you have a great sense of humor.

it will be a challenge to SYBD as we will be kicked out of our home shortly....don't worry....we are selling our home in NJ and open house ...I know....the thrills of life :) lol

There's a stray kitten in the tiny bit of woods around here, I've been trying to befriend. I bought him a feather toy and took it over to see how it would go, today. He went bananas over it.  We had so much fun he finally looked at me, meowed and jumped up right next to me. After two weeks of trying to get within 3 yards of him...play did it. 

 

What does this have to do with Stillness, you ask? Well...connecting with the kitten made me happy and calm. So I picked a spot near by and sat on the ground and was still, for quite a while,  just being near him. We're always rushing off to here or there, never taking time to be be "near" each other.

 

Some of my favorite memories are of sitting in the same area as someone else, but both of us doing totally different quiet things. Just  "being" in the same space, still. Most of us feel too rushed and like that time would be "wasted" when we "could be" doing X and Y

ultra important thing like...you know the list.

 

then of course I went inside for something and when I came out some guy had urinated two feet from my spot. Yes, my lovely neighborhood. So refined.
