created by: Starling Part of the first week's assignments are to spend 10 minutes a day and clean or clear something in addition to what you would have done anyway.
The dining room table has always been one of my hot spots. So is the table next to my chair in the living room.
I've gotten the "stuff" off the dining room table. What did you spend your 10 minutes on today?

It just piled up one day....don't know how...don't know why. Maybe all those socks that disappeared returned home. So today I am clearing my laundry and making sure it doesn't pile up ever again!!!

For the most part I keep things neat. I am trying to work through clutter however.
There are a few drawers that need to be re-organized.
There are some old interests that need to be given up since they no longer serve me.
Some of my clutter is not physical, but mental. That kind of clutter is harder to fix than the physical kind.

Yesterday I had a problem with my toilet. The water kept going after I had flushed so I was not able to use the toilet during the night and had to use the facilities at the community recreation center which is a block away.
Today the handyman fixed the toilet. Before he c ame to my apartment, I spent about one hour cleaning because it was so messy that I thought he might say something to the superintendent. The apartment looks better but definitely needs more work. Next week, my h ousekeeper will come over to clean more thoroughly.
One of my goals at TOOLS is to keep a clean and well-organized apartment. The cleaning day that are scheduled as part of the checklist are of great help to me.

Thanks for your note, I almost forgot to so something.
I live in quite a small place and it's not too messy so it is difficult at times to find things to do (but they are there).
Today I spent a few minutes oiling the hinges on a squeaky door that I keep putting off.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get all of the squeak out!!
That will be another quick job later!!
