obession with paper health information for others and doing for others

hi

I had a large interior design business and remodling, until I became suddenly ill, I am now disabled, but can drive, walk, etc.

Problem is that I am an writer, artist, so everything seems to be important, creative, etc here.

I can not focus as I have severe adhd and was dead 16 minutes during surgery. So the advise I really want is...... how do you not obcess over saving papers and articles to help others and th paper piles are totally covering my bar, my desk, etc.

I help others 90 % and me maybe 10%

Any ideas?i am going to a behavoial therapist

but can not seem to get control thank you

That is what I am doing now.  I had a great ocr program but now just use the one that comes in word office xp or higher.  I also got several gmail accounts because they hold a gig and back up to those account so I don't have to keep everything on my hard drive but in folders on the gmail server.

That way I can let go of the server.

a small idea... - added: Fri, Jun 06 10:57 AM

I think it's great that you're seeing a behaviourial therapist.

I thought I'd mention using the services of a personal organizer too.  They often specialize in working with the emotions behind what drives people to collect stuff.

If you happen to live in the Toronto area, I can give you the name of a good one!

Wishing you well,

Colleen.
