Consistent Action

Have you ever tried to start something (e.g. daily exercise, follow morning routines, do Tools daily or other daily actions), but not being able to continue to do them for more than a week or two.

I often find myself seeing the benefits of a new daily "action", start doing it, but then after a week or two, it is like the enthusiasm wears off, and suddenly you stop doing the things you know are best for you :)

If you have ideas, input and/or suggestions on how to ensure a consistent daily action, then join the group, and let us share our experiences.

A process for consistency - added: 2008-07-08 20:29:09

Since most of my worklife has been about processes and workflows I've taken much of this thinking home with me over the years and I've used it in successfully from time to time in my personal life. Now that I too am working to be more consistent, I have adapted a common management process to my pers »

Hi everyone - added: 2008-04-05 17:22:47

Hi everyone - have just joined the support group today. I would love to be more consitent in things I commit to - to be honest, I think I'm a bit lazy? get bored with things easily? I do know that I feel better when I stick to things I've decided are good or beneficial for me. I will look forward to »

Reminders - added: 2008-03-15 14:03:59

I often forget to go through my tools list during the day so when I get home I'm dissapointed that I have missed a few. So I've decided to put my tool reminders into Outlook which has a alarm that can be set. This way I'm sure to go through the checklist. Hope this helps. »

Same Boat - added: 2007-12-28 00:00:00

I think I am in the same boat as you. I always start new things (working out, training for a marathon, take a class), then after a few weeks or so, I stop doing it. I can't keep myself consistent. I'm not sure why. Hopefully someone has some answers to help me out! »

What do you do? - added: 2007-12-23 00:00:00

Hi, What do you do to keep on going when things get tough or the luck is against you? Is celebrating and noticing the progress daily a good way (the only way?) to do keep up the spirit? »
