moderator: glitterlane I have been a type 1 diabetic since I was twelve years old, I've experienced my share of ups and downs (pun intended) and I know what a weight this disease can place on a person.
This is a group for anyone affected by diabetes (any type), whether you have it or it has affected someone you care about.
I want this to be a place to share your challenges, questions, successes, fears... anything, really!
Just remember that the work now is worth the result in the end!
hey guys, I think glitterlane commented on one of my posts about my career not going anywhere at the moment. Small world.
Anyway, my wife (33) and duaghter (2 1/2) are both type 1 diabetics. I hear you loud and clear on how much this disease affects your everyday lives. We have been through the ringer with it and also a car accident (my wife was the only one involved, thank god) that was due to a low sugar.
Just wanted to give a shout to let you guys know you are not alone. Glad to see you starting a group for one of the most misunderstood serious diseases out there. Keep on fighting, I feel like a CURE is on the way very soon!
