writing for therapy

Does anybody write for therapy? Write the bad things down scream and yell and put all the rage and anger and pitiful whining on the page , then put it away? I don't have the self discipline to do that yet but I think it makes sense. For one thing it slows you down and focuses your energy to where you can be in control and study the things that bother you or make you happy or whatever.

Writing for Release - added: Sun, Oct 25 06:22 PM

If writing in frustration like you described could help you, then why not. I think it would be interesting to go nuts and then stop and reread what I had written even the next morning. Who knows what kind of interesting things you may have put down on paper.
