would anyone like to share? i'll start, my husband is an addict, he likes to take pain pills mixed with xanax. and then he moved on to heorin. this has been going on for about a year (we have only been married for a year and a half). he swears he is clean, but i can't trust that, because i am not there to see it, i left him in august because of his behavior and because of the way he was treating me. but hopefully he will have some answers/we can work some things out when he comes to visit next month. i am trying to figure out how to live my life with or without him, and how to stop being a codependent.but i am going to ALANON once a week.  i've come to the realization that i can read all the 12 step books for codependency in the world, and i can figure out how to handle/react to the situation but it still doesnt change the fact that my husband is an addict.
