Hi all,

 Just come in  after a busy late shift and had to share.

A relative rang to ask about her sons condition. I was of course very polite and tried to put her at her ease. On finnishing the conversation I asked if she would be coming in at visiting time, she said she would.

I thought no more about the conversation until the lady arrived. I asked if she was the patients mother. She said she was, so I told her it was me she had spoken to earlier.

I was surprised but also proud of my self when she told me what a lovely manner I had on the telephone, I had put her at ease as she was very concerned with her sons well being.

She later told me that she was a retired nurse who used to work at our hospital.

I am sure I will have a good nights sleep knowing I have helped at least one person today.

I love my job.
