Hello, ladies and welcome to the *new and improved* Open Arms group. I’m greatly humbled that you decided to join my group. My name is Faith Stewart; I’m this group’s owner, moderator, and life coach. As all of the above, I can honestly tell you how happy & pleased I am to have fellow women seek the guidance, help, and support from other women who welcome her with Open Arms!

Open Arms Life School for Women is an idea that I hatched in 2003 after being a committed viewer to the hit daytime reality TV show, ‘Starting Over’. I began searching the web to see what life coaching was, joined a coaching program, and the rest is history! If you’ve never seen ‘Starting Over,’ it was this truly inspirational show where six women lived in one house to achieve their goals with the assistance of two life coaches and the encouragement & support of her housemates. It was truly inspirational because these women had put themselves first and made life-changing transformations!

Open Arms Life School for Women is a chain of groups in online communities including Yahoo!, MySpace, Vois, & MSN. Our group was never supposed to be on the Internet but was supposed to be a few healing centers in over a few cities but that’s still an undergoing process. So, I decided to do the next best thing by creating a chain of online groups where I can go deeper with the women of the world, focus on the many issues that women face on a daily basis or when life takes its toll on us.

I chose to place it on the Internet for a couple of reasons including: (1) I wanted to test my idea & figure out how women would respond to this kind of group, (2) This is one of a few ways that I can help women out, (3) I believe that women have gone through more in their lifetime than any other human being, & (4) I’m destined to help women all around the world throughout the Internet and any other way that I may know of.

I believe that the greatest lessons people learn in their lives are that life is what you make it and to believe that they can do anything & everything. I also believe that women are capable of both of these things especially when they put their minds to it!

Please Women: When you join us, please be prepared to do the work that needs to be done to complete reach each goal. I require that you be ready to pursue your goal when you join us because I believe that if you really want to achieve your goals; please take the time to invest in yourself without backing out for any reason. If you really are interested, take that courageous plunge NOW or please make a wise retreat.

I request that women who join us and who recommend us please make sure that you mention that you are committed and dedicated to the Healing Process we provide for all our members. I always say, “It’s never a problem to ask for help because there is always someone, somewhere, wanting to help you out.” This is absolutely true for our group because we speak and do things in volumes! I’ve been working at this idea for four and a half years now and it’s something I’m so proud of.

When you join us, please take into consideration that there is something better out of this group for yourself - a deeper connection between you and this group in all the sectors of your life. We set flexible deadlines because by setting timeframes for your goals is very important. Establishing deadlines can be very motivating and lead to more immediacy to the assignments, exercises, or projects. We don’t need you to follow these deadlines like they’re written in stone or something. As a matter of fact, as the group’s life coach, I’m prepared for foreseen circumstances & setbacks that may occur. Especially after a few months of working on a particular goal, you may feel like you need more time or even that this goal is accomplished.

I’m an e-coach (which you can tell since I’m working within this group, duh) who coaches through e-mail; I give you a chance to do what’s necessary to your Process throughout the days, weeks, or years. My last request is that if you join this group, please be dedicated and committed to the group and the process. I don’t think that I can stretch this enough, do not join us unless you’re clear that this is the approach you want to take and to make a difference in YOUR LIFE, so please make the right decision!
