HELP!!!

I quit smoking approx a year ago....I got desperate to quit and finally said hell with it. During the time of not smoking, I did smoke pot. I looked at it as the less of the two evils. Due to having to renew my physical for my CDL, I had to quit smoking pot as well. That time was rough. During that time, my wife and I stepped in to a friend of ours, and we now have her daughter (legally of course). That entire process has been very stressful from day one. I gave in, and started smoking again. Even after I passed my physical, and started smoking pot again. Don't get me wrong, the pot smoking has never been severe. I might have went through 25 bucks worth a month. Now, it's maybe every other month. I've never smoked pot while my kids were around or awake...instead, I'm smoking ciggs. I'm over the tobacco, not really over smoking the pot. It has been very hard. I really don't want to go the prescription route (used to be addicted to pills), and can't afford laser...Any suggestions?

Hey Sinn,

I see its been a while since you posted this. Hopefully you are still active in tools.

I am in the same boat as you are, no cigs for 1 week now thanks to chantix (im not a fan of pills either). But i ahve been smoking weed for just as long as tobacco- 30 years. Im 46, married and 3 kids. I figure its now or never.

I have had a toke every other day or so for the last week but thats been it.

SO back to you- i know the pills are an issue with you but i have tried many times in the past to quit- patch, cold turkey...

The chantix really takes care of the cravings!

Its the mental habit that is the problem for me. I think its just a matter of changing personal habits.

I hope this helps you and if you need to reach out, i am here.
