created by: roost408 SO, i recently got turned on to "the secret"/ the law of attraction. I hit rock bottom with my business. (and in turn, my overall happiness with my life) Of all people, my brother told me about the secret. believe me, didnt see that coming. well, i took his advice. I watched the movie, then did some reading about it. alot of reading actually. more, i think, than i ever had on a subject. it really intrigued me. so i starting the exercises, and really put them to use. well, in one word, astonishing! within the next few days, the phone started ringing, and started to get work again. it was amazing, was it a coincidence? thats what i started telling myself. but it kept going. it was more than coincidence. it was really working. but then, i hit a wall again. what happened? why did it stop? it stopped because i let it stop. i stopped thinking positive and returned to my negative, boo hoo attitude. the one thing ive learned is that its not a quick fix or some magical....thing. it takes work, commitment, a positive attitude. its a "work in progress" thats the main reason i started tools. to get back on track, and to continue to create my destiny.
so, it seems like this topic went stale. so i wanted to start it up again. so what do you guys think? does it work? is it "magic"? am i a kook for believing it?
LOA works. But you have to believe with all your being.
It doesnt always work in the way that the movie portrays though. And it does require other laws such as the law of accumilation.
for example, I want to be financially secure. The law of attraction doesnt give me a billion dollars the next day. but it shows me little ways to make my financial situation better. If I use the opportunity today then my finances are a little better tomorrow. then another opportunity presents itself. after a while I'll notice that money seems to snowball.
I give then I get
I remain grateful, hopeful and enjoy everything around me. even all my bad habits have had blessing within them.

I actually sat in awe, of the implecations of what this could mean for humanity.
anyway in a nutshell, this has been my experience with the whole LOA. feb, 2007 is when I attracted it, I had nearly died(heart attack), My finances were in shambles. I was in my mid 30's going nowhere fast. Upset that I couldn't get a better job with all the education that I've had. stuck in small town america with little job opportunities around and blaming everyone else for my misfortunes.
Luckily for me, that man, did die, a year and six months ago. I am now in a totally different life. I have opportunities all around me. money just seems to come around all the time though opportunities. My relationships with people have been inspiring, especially those who are constantly negative. They provide a window of what I dont want and I am able to see the problems they cause themselves just with their thoughts.
so trust in your feelings and if it don't feel good dont do it.
but always find ways to feel good

The secret does work and i have to say from experience i was down in the dumps, a friend shared it with me and i have implemanted it into my daily life. What you think, your thoughts create your life, If you think badly your life will be bad. If you think great things, it will create great things. my life is what i have created it to be. Tools and the secret Fits like a glove. You have to change your thinking in order to live the life you want. Your the author ,director ,illistrator of your life how fantasic is that. It excites me to know i can change anything and do anything. the universe is my canvas. I ask and it happens it's that simple. There is a delay tho and you have to be patient and not get fustrated or disapionted if it doesn't happen right away.
Believe and you shall recieve. In love relationships and your daily everyday life. Iam happier than i have ever been. Life is an amazing gift. Live it..

I've read the secret over and over many times and I always find new interesting thoughts and advise. However it really hard to remember and to keep up the "right" thoughts.
I have money, I have a great family, I finally have a job and an income. I found the love of my life. But he sliped away because I didn't dare to believe. How can I get him back? How can the secret help me get him back?
...and it happens. That is where my question to you comes from. Could you please help me to understand 'how' you ask? Perhaps my efforts are too scattered and need to be more focused on just one achievement at a time. I have my dream board and Life Book in progress, I try to meditate daily...I definitely think positively...that had been a quality of mine for years. I am grateful for what I have..my children 15 and 12, my health, an OK roof over our heads that is mostly furnished and food on the table most of the time. Finances have been really really tight for the first 9 months of this year as 1/3 of my income was wrongly stopped and is just now back in place. Honestly, we do need so much, more finances for groceries, clothes, reliable transportation..we use city bus for now and just recently are able to keep laundry done up at home instead of going out which we couldn't afford to do nearly as much as needed. The debt from those months is going to be a problem for a while yet. Sorry for rambling...I would really appreciate some informed suggestions......

Yes ... the law of attraction works, there are no conincidences, we do create OUR reality.
