I started a new discussion with the title Seattle thinking maybe people would like to talk about Seattle and the San Juan area before your trip. I've only been to Seattle once, and briefly so I'm no help! I went down there from British Columbia, for a day, to see if it might be a city I'd like to live. It didn't click for me. Seattle was fun, though. They have some fantastic bookstores, and good food, and the open market. We spent a few hours in the mountains, too. And you fly out quite near Mt St Helen. I bought a little duck made of St Helen ash. If you want ideas for what to see maybe travelers have some thoughts.
