I'm Looking For An Enjoyable Book To Read To Help Me Sleep. I'm not sure if this an appropriate group to post this, but I thought I'd start here. I've joined TOOLS a couple months ago and I'm grateful, proud, and excited to say that I am currently on Day 71 and it feels great! Yay me! :-) 1 of the Tools that Coach Steele has recommended is to get a book that I can read 30 minutes or an hour (I don't remember which 1 it is) that I can enjoy and read and "lose myself in" that will help me escape and relax to help me sleep better. The difficulty I'm having is finding a book that I will enjoy reading. I read "Celestine Prophecy," "The 11th Insight," (I believe that was the title, not remembering exactly) and "The Secret of Shambhala," all written by James Redfield. These are all wonderful amazing books that I could not put down and I resonated with every word I read. I also enjoyed reading "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" and "Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior" by Dan Millman. The challenge I'm having is that I haven't found any books that are similar to those Genres or styles. Visionary Fiction is my favorite category, mainly because I enjoy and prefer to read alternative, Spiritual, metaphysical stories. However, as a non-smoking, herbal, holistic squeamish vegetarian, the story that I enjoy reading needs to be mild and easy to read with Zero barbaric tones to it. I read a novel many years ago, entitled, "The Teaching" and a wonderful novel, entitled, "City of the Dreamers" written by Jordan Avery, both of which contained beautiful important messages about Enlightenment Spirituality vs. Pseudo-Holy, Vegetarianism, and Compassion for Animals. I'm having difficulty finding other novels with similar themes, plots, characters, and story lines. Has anyone read any of these novels or similar novels? If so, I would appreciate your sharing these titles with me. I miss enjoying and reading a good novel. I hope someone can help. Thank You for your help.
