Hi Everyone

I am 52 almost 53 and live in Victoria Australia. I am embracing change as I get older, so joining Tools to Life and this group seemed appropriate. I look forward to joining your discussions.  I am on day 3 and still working out how to navigate this site. Bluebfly

I turned 60 last June at my daughter's wedding in Mendicino, CA.  Since then I have been searching for an appropriate sense of identity with this changing body in a culture that does not value age nor wisdom.  I make woven shawls, and I joked with some shop ladies about beginning "The Shawl Initiation" when one turns 60.  I don't want to wear a red hat.  That poem was about a women wanting to be excentric and unique.  Now everywhere I go, I see women wearing a uniform!  Just not my thing.  -Cardinarla
