When it comes to our health we ignore what is happening because we don't see it today. That used to be the way it was with smoking. Now we know so much that less and less people are living by that principle. However, when it comes to weight, we are still ignoring the effects of what we cannot see today. This is evident by the statistics of us getting heavier and heavier and the direct impact on our health and medical costs.

This was an awesome podcast, Devlyn, this is an area that I am very passionate and the reason I am in school right now. You could also flip the coin with the "If I can't see it, it isn't happening" statement and apply it to people who are trying to make healthy changes in their lives. A lot of times when we get started with a workout routine or a new way of eating, because results take time, a lot of times it is easy to get discouraged and say "I can't see the results, it must not be working", but if you are following a good plan, and being consistent, just remember to be patient! The truth is, if you are doing all the things you are supposed to, it IS WORKING!!! Just don't give up!!!
