When I retired the first time, I wanted to go to India and work with Mother Teresa. Her work had inspired my life in many ways. I actually received a response from her signed in her own hand...
She asked me to stay put.. Told me the loneliness we had in the West was the worst hunger of all, so I stayed, changed my business from "Lace and Little Stitches" to "A Work of Heart".
I was able to stay and teach thousands of students an art that had been handed down to me... My grandmother's patience and love was a gift I was able to share all over the world. Simple touches, nudges, boots and challenges bring life and hope into their broken hearts or wounded lives.
For me Tools is becoming a part of my life and a continuation of A Work of Heart, that Mother Teresa inspired me to start...
