Bio for Renee Lafair

Home builder, wife and mother of three, Renee is founder of Green Places, LLC. This Texas home building company builds and remodels homes using the newest safe, low footprint options available. Her goal is to create beautiful homes that are gentle on the pocketbook and on the environment.

 

Five-Star ratings are not easy to come by but three of Renee’s homes hold that honor. That’s the highest rating awarded from the Austin Energy’s Green Building program. These homes must meet strict environmental impact and energy reduction standards.  

 

A few years ago Renee took a class in green building and there sparked the passion for green living that guides her today. She and her children are learning to live green, as Renee understands more about her impact on their world and their future. Renee has an undergraduate business degree in Business and a Masters in Public Policy. She created the introductory program to our Green Tools series, Start Living Green Tools.
