I passed my one year anniversary
of having Type I Juvinile diabetes;
after a lift flight to the hospital
death was knocking at the door.
I've been out of the hospital
for one year now.
My strength has returned
I can drive again
and have been doing yard work
and other regular daily activies
on my own again.
I was weak in the winter around
Nov.- Feb. hurt my back or something
I had to give up granny duty;
hubby was having to lift the laundry
I had to fight to regain my health,
but it was worth the battle.
I can walk 2.5 - 3 mi. , and have resumed granny duty and doing chores around here plus gardening again now.
I'm so glad!
I grieved the loss of comfort foods,
baking goodies potatoes, rice, pasta,
etc. crying over bread etc. but moving
on past that now and appreciating
my new healthier me! I'm still learning
how to cope with this in new settings,
had to change some things and opt.
for healthier choices rather than sitting
around doing more active things again is
great! Love that.
