Resistance. "Waaah, you can't MAKE me"

Good day fellow Boxers in the Tool Box:

I have to share with you something quite remarkable. (well, remarkable to ME). When the day came for Coach to call on us to Exercise, of course I was so reluctant. I blogged about how I was FINE, felt FINE, was not "fat", didn't need to diet, sure as heck didn't want to exercise, and therefore dismissed this preposterous idea of actually 'exercising'. It felt like my mother, that is a gym-a-holic at 72 years old, nagging me - "You need to exercise more, dear, it will make you feel so much better". Better than what? The aaaverage Bear? (think: Yogi & Boo Boo for those old enough to remember them).

SO. One day, a little bird landed on my shoulder and just quietly said: "Instead of sitting at your computer, or doing piles of paper work, take a break - go for a walk".

What a KIND suggestion - instead of "Get thee to a Gym" it was so subtle, I thought, okayyyyy... *sigh* why notttt?

Yesterday, I visited my doctor on some other matter that is of no significance, and guess what? I'm down 11 lbs from my last visit - without even 'trying to diet'. My blood pressure is down from 120/80 to 117/70. She asked what I was doing. I said, just walking. And she told me that this is one of the best forms of exercise because it's easy on the joints, and if you walk correctly- breathing, holding your tummy in, posture, etc. the benefits are tremendous.

I go for a nice long 45 min-1 hour walk every day that I get a chance. It usually is every other day, but it's the intention to go out as much as I can. This accomplished only after 2 months!

If you RESIST and think to yourself, "You can't MAKE me" you lose. I always got around to eventually doing the TOOLS in the box, and only WISHED I'd worked with them sooner! So, newer Boxers - use what is in front of you NOW. Don't put them off - please - they are designed to get you going NOW.

I encourage you all to make the choice to do whatever is assigned to you ON THE DAY. Buy yourself flowers, shop for music, tape yourself, exercise - there IS a method to the program. If you put it off for a time later, it only takes you more time to reap the benefit!

I know - all things in good time...MAKE THIS your GOOD TIME!

Love & Light and Angel Wings to you all to Fly!
