Taming the Green Eyed Monster

 

I am struggling with the Green Eyed Monster today. Well, not really, but yes really! I am envious of MoonShadow lucky Debbie that took the initiative to fly across country and come to Arizona for the Super Bowl fun that's been going on in the Valley this week. She actually got to go to the "Old Timers" Football game, where I KNOW some of my NFL heroes are playing. I asked her to take a lot of photos so that I could at least share the experience by osmosis.

 

I COULD have gone, I suppose, but other things kept me at home (about an hour and a half North of the Valley). The last time Super Bowl was in Phoenix (Super Bowl XXX - Cowboys/Steelers) I had a BLAST. Of course, then, things were a bit different - not quite so expensive and many events were free. (Yes, Free - if you can believe that).

 

I am taming the Green Eyed Monster into maybe a puppy. I am so thrilled for Moon Debbie, and talking to her yesterday, I could feel the excitement in her voice and anticipation about the activities she and her friends were going to enjoy.

 

My attitude is my decision. I could wallow in jealousy, but I've decided to revel with her in her joy and look forward to the photographs (which I know will be fabulous) that she'll share with all of us!

 

Happy for you MoonShadow Debbie! And glad that flying was easy breezy for you, too!

 

Since the Packers didn't make it, we'll root for the Giants. MY Spike is mortified that New England's mascot is named "Spike". He is still depressed about his packers....

hi Jane Angel,

Well, I spent too much time at the WONDERFUL WORLD WILDLIFE ZOO  yesterday and got to the game late....only got to see some new guys from the NFL and saw a super bowl ring up close. I got close to DANNY WHITE  a former Dallas Cowboy quaterback. Oh, I laughed hysterically because the CAVEMAN  was here as well. (THE GEICO CAVEMAN) they had lots of free stuff but he even was signing autographs as  CAVEMAN........it was funny.

All in all......I am  having a blast and today is the big day!!! I am going to keep a positive mind and know my team will win.

It was GREAT  to talk with you and put a voice to the name.  I will come back to this area.........I LOVE IT! Everyone from here should be very proud. Everyone has been nothing short of nice! Clean abounds everywhere.........so..........A STANDING OVATION FOR ARIZONA.

Ahh, Danny White... *sigh*.... I'm sure that Super Joe was there, Terry Bradshaw, Roger Staubauch, I am just feeling your enthusiasm! (Danny is coach of our Arena Football Team, The Arizona Rattlers). Did you get Caveman's autograph???

 

They do have some amazing animals at the Wildlife Zoo. Hope you got to see the baby white tigers!

WOWSA!!!!!  The ANGEL-in-waiting, awaiting the full SHADOW of the MOON rising.  That would really be a blast.  The ANGEL and the MOON and the FOOTY.  Oh, what about the MIST.  Well, since the mist knows nothing about the game, might as well she stays behind the TOOLS fence.  CryMy name is John Lennon:  "I'm just a jealous guy".  That is just fine.  I'm here (also enjoying) the non-stop wailing of Spite:  "Consider this ... oh, life it's bigger.  It's bigger than you and you are not me ... that's me in the corner, that's me in the spotlight ... losing my religion.  I've said too much.  I've said enought ... But that was just a dream ... and that's me in the corner ...".
