General Info About Me

1/24/08:  Well, after leaving my Board meeting tonight in the city where I work, walking to my car, I found a 5 year old boy sitting on the ground with his back against a church crying.  After questioning him, I was able to get him to the group where he was supposed to be.  He wandered out, not wanting to be there and wanting his mom.  He said she was late.  He left where he was supposed to be a half-hour early!!!!  I'm so glad I was there.

1/12/08:   Happy New Year everyone!  I have to graduate this thing.  Personal update -- working out 4 times a week, cardio and weights since forever and am now 5 days SMOKE-FREE.

10/18:  Leaving work and heading to the Film Festival free screening night.  We are showing two films to highlight National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and also National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  Each film was previsously juried and selected from our festival last June.  Let's keep our friends in mind this month who have had to deal with either of these subjects.

9/8:  I posted some photos that I took while parasailing in Jamaica.  I cannot believe that I actually thought I'd be able to take pictures.  I had no fear of going, never thought what could go wrong, just went up with camera in hand.  Once up at 1000', it's not really safe to not "hold on" with both hands.  So I opened the lens with one finger, pointed, and took several pics.  Not bad for "blind" shooting.  See how high I was!!

9/1:  Today is my birthday and the system magically shows my new age.  Hey coaches.... I'm going backwards, it should be 47!  Check out my new favorite song and some new photos.

Wow, what a busy summer.  Spent a week running the 2007 SouthSide Film Festival and met many wonderful film producers from all over the world.  What a successful event we had.  Lots of good times.  Managed to get to Jamaica 10 pounds lighter.  I haven't checked what the apres-vacation damage is.  We spent a week there and had a great time.  I went snorkeling and parasailing and we managed to come home 3 days before the hurricane.  Wonderful to spend all that time with my daughters.  Bob & I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary for a long weekend in Spring Lake, NJ.  A beautiful old victorian community on the beach!  I'm already swamped back at work and ready to get back to my work on me too.

5/20:  The weather has been absolutely perfect here, flowers blooming regularly.  It's getting lush and beautiful.  The deer ate my tulips this year though, and all the ivy.  Now that the dog is gone, they feel quite comfortable here.  Wonder if I'll get to eat my vegetables when they grow this year.

4/15 Blog: I'm so happy I found this program. Thanks Coach for putting this course out here.  I found tools by accident doing a search on a name.  I wanted to communicate with that person so I signed up.  Then I started exploring the site and was thrilled.  I believe that things show up in your life just when you need them, if you're open to that.  I believe I'm ready to change.  I'm glad I'm in your capable hands.  Thank you.

Well I'm back from Europe and, aside from spending time with my friend and her daughter who just turned 2, I had the chance to experience a very beautiful coastline.  I spent a week on the beach in their new cottage and cooked my head off all week.  They were grateful, and I was grateful to have "willing eaters" to experiement with.   Lost many more dollars on the exchange than I wanted, but so what!  What do I need to buy anyway.  Earrings!  Always some new ones for me.  I hope you like my new poem, it's rather quickly put together and doesn't have a cadence that I like yet, but it expresses my feelings.  I'm storing the old ones in "shares".

Well.  I wonder if vacations are worth it.  I work twice as hard before leaving, making sure my "show" is in place each week while I'm gone.  Actually, it's a class, but sometimes feels more like a performance.  Off to Amsterdam Monday!

3/18 blog:  Hi eveyone.  I spent the week in Washington DC and did some lobbying.  I was a prisoner to a conference with sessions from 7am to 9pm in horrid chairs.  I met Jessie Jackson and Hillary Clinton.  I posted those photos in my gallery.  Then, I came home and there was a new foot of snow at my place.   Can't wait for the that to change.

My work is business consulting services to entrepreneurs and existing businesses locally.  I help people realize their dreams, it's awesome.  I'm open at this time for new challenges and I'm here because I need to focus on me, for a change.  I have  two daughters, a Doctor and Sculptor!  Evidence of my dichotomy.  Trying to find a new direction, what has sustained thus far will no longer suffice.

Film!  My new interest and challenging me to explore and view life differently.   I love to be at the beach, any waterfront will do.  I love music, playing classics on the piano, listening to jazz, blues.  I'd love to have a restaurant/club, entertain and laugh.  I love to fly, especially Cesnas, to keep you focused on the big picture.  Have to shed the pounds, pump up the heart, and head first to the unknown future!
