Controlling the Beast Within Pays Off!!!

I have just come back from a scenic romantic refreshing canoe/camping trip on Moon River.  Yep, we canoed to our campsite in the middle of nowhere but, man, it was "everywhere"...it was isolated but I have never felt so centered and found.  Now, don't get me wrong...a little rain did fall and by "little" I mean hours upon hours of pouring rain on the Saturday.  And, man, I think I have mosquito bites on every inch of my body...I can still hear the drone of the relentless army of blood suckers! Yes, at one point I was cold to the bone, sore from paddling, bitten, wet, hungry and...."Wahhhhhhhhhhhh! I WANT TO GO HOME NOW!!!!!!!!!" Thanks to ToolstoLife I did not scream that into my companion's face but, instead, I took deep breathes and relied on the passage of time to dispense of my black mood.  Yep, and sure enough...the rain let up, my fella cooked a yummy meal and I started to warm up by a roaring fire. Pretty soon I was laughing and chatting away and in total awe of the fireflies that graced us with a magical night time light show.

By taking the brief moment to control my feelings and not let them control me I was able to have a wonderful time and was not a moaning pain-in-the-butt to be with.  I liked me better and I didn't stand in my own way of having an amazing weekend .  And the sun did come out again the next day in all its brilliance and warmth!
