Seperation
Work is important. family and friends are important.
Work /life balance is what is important.
"When its time to work, work hard, when its time to play, play hard" what my old headmaster used to say.
I rarely took that advice myseld till the last few years, and doing Tools has accelerated that.
Get the balance right and have the best of both worlds.

Sounds good!
It's all about balance, right?

For me the first step is acknowledgement, which you have done, remember we are not an island. My honest advice would be to enjoy your work, which you already do, then take time to listen and share with those who love and care about you but most importantly i find that when i isolate myself its because i am not comfortable with me. So for me the greatest challenge is to learn to become comfortable with me, and that means taking up the challenge - this mental workout we are goping through will no doubt assist us to get there.
much love

first of all, I am really glad to find a kindred spirit here...not sure how I missed seeing your earlier blogs.
regards your blog, I agree with your approach. I find myself guilty of this too many times. Working on PhD is a long, laborious process which involves spending too many hours in isolation struggling away at a problem for days on end (if we are lucky
) till we figure out the solution.
there may also be certain days things do not work out, be sure to not confine yourself during those periods as well.
cheers,
J
