Start again ON TIME!

I am doing the whole round of the 92 days again. Now I am on day 6 and I realize that arriving on time is still an issue for me. Showing up late seems to be deeply rooted in my brain. I remember my mother doing that but, on the other hand, my father would never arrive late! Well, even in childhood conditioning we do have a choice.

I want to hear your adivice: What do you say to yourself to make of arriving always on time an endurable habit?

Time keeping

It depends on how important the event is to you. A long time again I used to turn up early but now I can be very late.

Practical tips

Preparation

Just prepare before hand. So say it's an event - know directions before hand, choose your outfits (or selections because on day you may not fancy wearing what you chose). Make sure everything is handy then before hand.

Realistic and distractions

Be realistic about what you can do. Maybe your mother thought she could do it but then found herself distracted by other important things. We sometimes say yes without thinking what else we have to do.

For example if you have kids or committments know you have to factor that in. Don't cut yourself short on time to please.

Time keeping

Simply clock watch. Have your time on the eye. But then sometimes time may not be an issue to you. You may be simply one of those people who do things in their own time. Good or bad, wrong or right, some people don't simply care about time. So be honest with yourself about that. Seriously you could give some people a millions dollars and they will still turn up late. Time keeping is simply not important to them - there is no wrong or right.

How important is this event?

This is the bottom line and it can also be subjective. As I said is timekeeping is subjective and some people simply don't care about it. It's not an issue in their lives or something they do anything about.
