Beknec's Life List:
I was 8 I dreamed of going to Sweden. On 13/3/1980 I arrived in Stockholm, not for a moment thinking about the fact that I was on the other side of the world, all by myself. I had the best 7 weeks of my life and can still feel the coldness of snow falling on my tongue for the first time. It was really awesome to hold a snowflake on my finger and see the complexities of shape and colour - perhaps this is where I first got the idea to draw Celtic knots?

Mountains out of non-existant mole hills

Okay, so here's the deal - I'm hopeless at remembering names - as soon as someone tells me their name it is gone - completely...

It's one of the things I have been working on in Tools because it is just sooooo embarassing - "Hey....  ...  you, would you like a cuppa?"

Anyhows, a group of girls I work with (they are members of our support groups) are doing a digital storytelling workshop, which I am co-facilitating.  While talking one of the girls said how amazed she was that when I go to the groups (to help with the childcare or to collect money or just to do admin stuff) I always call everyone by name - and another chimed in that even when she didn't know who I was, I knew who she was...

Just goes to show that sometimes the problems we think we have just don't even exist

says: December,22I had a name remembering and a name forgetting experience yesterday. I got on the bus and started talking to a young mother who had a litte boy with her. We enjoyed talking and in turned out that I knew her neighbor. I was thinking I would like to get to know her better...I knew I knew where she lived and could probably contact her through my friend. I got her name and her little boy's name and said goodbye. WHen I leftI said "goodbye Tyler" but did not repeat hername and I am drawing a blank on her name, I know tha it begins wtih a "J". So I had a real example of he power of repeating the name on the spot..Freya
