Scared

I am horrified for my son, For some reason I see him damn near about to make some of the worst decisions of his life. I don't know if its because I've made some of these same decisions (and been royally fucked in life with many incredible yet unnecessary hardships) or if it's because I can see  the road he is "trying" to travel down. And I am not able to do anything about it. He's only 17 & doesn't believe a word I say about it (shocker!) nor will anyone else support my fears. I've lived many of the things he's about to, many of them necessary yet MANY are unnecessary and can still be avoided and will cause him a lifetime of pointless hardships. Hurts my heart standing by watching all of this, with ductape over my mouth.I know as well as anyone that we all have to make mistakes, however if we can avoid some of the wrong direction one's it could catapult them toward a MUCH easier and less stressful life.

Thanks for listening to me vent

Good Luck B.

I have seen the same nightmare and my kids are still so young I hope the best for your son and hope that he finds what HE is looking for before something finds him. I think it gets a little harder for each generation especially when there might be a predisposition to "certain" things. Just like you he'll be fine in time. Don't think you have to let anything happen, sometimes a little persuasion works. I hope the best for you.
