Weekly Thought and Photo

I often ask myself, why do many people see raining days as a negative thing?  The rain revitalizes the world around us and helps it to grow.  We all need the water that the rains bring to us. Instead of complaining about the rainy day and looking at it negatively we should look at all the positive things that it brings to us.  This positive outlook can also be carried over into other areas of our lives.  We are quick to complain about lots of things.  If we just realized that everything around us has positive aspects also then we would be a lot happier.

I hope that you have a great weekend.

I love the rain!

I'm from West Texas and we don't get much rain, so when we do it's a Big blessing. We'll sit on the front porch and take it all in, the sound, the smell , and everything about it.

Right On!!! (As we used to say.)

You make me smile You make me smile, and you are so right!

We love it when it rains.

We're in drought conditions in SE Australia - we can water our gardens for an hour on Wednesdays or Sundays and that's it.

I remember a tv show here depicting an English family who'd emigrated to Australia for the lifestyle, and in particular the sunshine. They were sick and tired of the endless rainy and miserable English weather and longed for the clear blue Aussie skies.

Anyway, they arrived and loved it. Life sparkled. Then a few months of endless sunny days later, they couldn't get back to England quick enough. They couldn't stand one day after another of clear sky.

I guess then wherever we are - no matter the weather  - is home.
