I'm Working My Program

Some of you may not know this about me, but I am on the Weight Watchers weight loss program.  I have been going to Weight Watchers since June 2005 I was 265 pounds when I started, and now I am down to 205 pounds.  I went to my doctor, and she said that according to the official BMI chart, I should still lose another 20 pounds.  The problem with this is that my weight loss efforts have stagnated.  I have not made any progress towards my weight loss goal in 5 months.  I realize the reason that my weight loss has stopped is because I am not as motivated about the program as I was in the beginning.  In the beginning it was easy, and I saw the results quickly.

The reason that I am writing this under breakthroughs is because as of today, I have recommitted myself to my weight loss efforts.  I know that the program that I am on works for me, and I am going to find my motivation and work the program.

says: Congrats on losing 60 pounds! That is a wonderful accomplishment! Even more so is the breakthrough that you had.  I can imagine it would be easy to slack or stop the program all together, however, you have found an oppurtunity to find more  motivation in your life to complete your goal. Best of luck to you!

Hi Bill,

First of all you have done an amazing thing to achieve the weight loss you talk about. Celebrate that first. Keep at your goal. I know I've got about 25 more pounds to get down to where I want to be. Break down your goals a little more and the mountain begins to look easier to climb. So instead of another 20 start with another 5 this month. 5 pounds sounds a little easier right, then re set your target the next month and you'll have that goal knocked off before you know it. There is more ahead on Tools for you about diet. So just keep doing the Tools everyday.

All the best and see you at 20 pounds lighter.

Way to go on the weight loss and the breakthru!  Sometimes just recommiting will help get you motivated again.  But also remember sometimes the body just needs to catch up!  Give it time and don't give up!  It is at this time when the rubber hits the pavement!  Keep going those babysteps of 5 pounds or 2 pounds and you will get there!

Keep on Keeping on!

You can do it, keep going! You can do it, keep going!

says: I am thinking about recommiting to weight watchers. I am low carbing but I don't think it will be in my best interest for a lifetime of dieting. I'm with you, we can do this!!!

I agree! I agree!
