Popular Job Search Links

Below are popular job search web sites that I utilize and would recommend:

www.Indeed.com is a favorite of mine.  It is a great job search site that delivers open jobs daily in an e-mail to my inbox.  Note that it is not the place to upload your resume for others to browse.  Simply fill in your search word and search location and Indeed does the rest.  You will receive daily e-mails with job listings that match your search criteria!  They include searches of other major websites so you don't have to check all the sites daily.  This streamlines any job search by providing one stop shopping for you!

www.Simplyhired.com also searches other job sites and business so you don't have to.  You can also do plenty of research about companies here, as well as conduct plenty of networking.

www.Monster.Com is a great resourse with plenty of supporting information for job seekers.  They advise on cover letters and resumes as well as salary information. You can post your resume here as well as apply for job on-line.

www.jobsearch.org is America's Job Ban. It is sponsored by the Department of Labor and has links to each State's Job Bank. It is a very large site with lots of great resources and tools.

www.CareerBuilder.com is another staple in the on-line job search that offers plenty of job search tools and is a very large site with plenty of listings. You can post your resume as well as recieve job alerts.

www.USASearch.gov is the place to go if you are looking for a goverment position.

Herbert A. Millington
Chair - Search Committee
412A Clarkson Hall, Whitson University
College Hill, MA 34109

Dear Professor Millington,

Thank you for your letter of March 16. After careful consideration, I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me an assistant professor position in your department.

This year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually large number of rejection letters. With such a varied and promising field of candidates, it is impossible for me to accept all refusals.

Despite Whitson’s outstanding qualifications and previous experience in rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection does not meet my needs at this time. Therefore, I will assume the position of assistant professor
in your department this August. I look forward to seeing you then.

Best of luck in rejecting future applicants.

Sincerely,
Chris L. Jensen
