Day by Day

I think this program moves to fast for me.  Often I feel overwhelmed, just reading the number of items on my daily checklist.  Also I am afraid to make commitments I am not sure I can carry out when my fatigue kicks my feet out from under me.  But I am still learning and growing. »

"Just enjoy your family"...

I finally spoke to middle daughter on the phone.  They were in Washington D.C. enjoying a visit with her husband's parents when her husband's father suddenly dropped dead on the golf course Saturday.  I made calls and sent e-mails of concillation, but yesterday was hard for me.&nbs»

Sudden Death

MY  middle daughter, Abigail called her sister, Sara (who lives with us), to tell her that she and her husband were visiting his parents, and John and Gary went out  for their yearly game of golf.  John's father dropped dead of a heart attack on the golf course. He was still »

Problems, problems,

Well, my mesh melt experiment was a disaster.  I had done two previously successful melts that were beautiful, but I guess I tried to use the same mesh one too many times.   Anyway, I have 7 pounds of shattered glass with embedded mesh and kiln brick on the floor of my studio.&nb»

Art and Balance

Yesterday I went down to my glass studio to work on some projects I had in mind, and as always, I lost complete track of time.  I get "into the flow", and I don't think about anything excepting the complexities of the glass melt, how to set up the kiln for the melt, how to cu»

You Are Not Going to Believe This!

Well, yesterday was interesting.  This morning Jonathan comes in with coffee for me and tells me, "Last night I bumped into Dr. C. and she told me about four Universities for whom she is teaching online courses.  She gave me the information on how to contact them, and I have already a»

Carrying Jonathan

This morning I got a really long and thoughtful post from one of you...I thought her ideas were pretty drastic, and I wrote her a long reply explaining why her suggestion just wouldn't work with Jonathan.  I was distracted, and as so often does with this program, my entire post was oblitera»

A Short Post Script

Jonathan is teaching a class tonight.  He was home all day, and he is worried beyond all reason about paying our mortgage, let alone all the other bills.  He says he feels like this house is an albatross around his neck, and that he is worth more dead than alive. All I could do was jus»

Well, we do live in the 'rust belt' state.

I am pulling out of the last MS flare and feeling pretty good.  My only complaint is not enough hours in the day, and maybe sometimes not enough energy even if I do have the time.Managing MS can be a tricky balancing act.  My mother always told me, " Kickapoo, your eyes are bigge»

Lies & Trust

This morning I asked my spouse a question, he looked me straight in the eye and told a bald face lie.  I challenged him on it, because I had oevrheard part of his phone converstation, and he said, "Well I was embarassed".  That has been his excuse for 15 years now.  The»
