Today is Day 2. Although I was not able to do Day 2 immediately after Day 1, I am still happy that I was able to complete it. I'm especially happy that I'm among the 50% that make it this far. Wow.
You know, since Day 1, even before I could do Day 2, I saw changes in my life that were almost unbelievable to me. I've had more energy, I've been less irritable, more patience, I've slept better, I've been exercising better and I've been working better.
And guess what else? I even went out on a week night to see old high school frends! I normally wouldn't do this since I WAS always tired and DIDN'T have a lot of time for fun or social activities because I usually work on the night shift. (See? I'm even talking in the past tense now. :D )
Anyway, I just want to share that these old friends play in a band (just for fun) and so they had this gig at a local cafe last week and I just happened to be available so I went and just spent some time with them... And you know what else I did? I jammed with them! I sang Whisper To A Scream. :D
It was incredible that I seemed to have changed just like that. And you know what else? The band leader, who's a long-time friend of mine, said I sang like I had rehearsed with them many times. And so the singer chimed in and asked me to sing with them sometimes so she could have an alternate. :P They may be serious or not, and I may or may not do that. But just being able to break out of the negative, burdened norm felt great. And I was early at work and productive the following day despite some drinks and a late night.
Way to go huh. :-) Sorry if this seems long. I really just wanted so share the changes I have seen in my life just with Day 1, and I wanted to provide some details. Thank you Tools!
