BOOST TO BOOST

hello Jenna. Good for you being determined to have the life you want. as they say "this ain't no dress rehearsal!" It also occurs to me that progress is in little baby steps. I,like you, am on day 32 and I cannot believe the difference in my thinking already. I have a seven year old son who is struggling in school. Not from lack of smarts but from low self esteem and a negative attitude. I have just started using positive affirmations for him and I believe it will help him tremendously. I feel like I am feeding the part of my personality that my parents should have been feeding when i was young. Oh well, i am rambling. I am in bed wiht the flu. good luck to you. And don't you EVER give up on yourself!

I'm ready and excited to make some changes in my life and become a better version of myself.

This place has been exactly what I need - Repeated Exposure to Positive Thinking!

Here's to finding those opportunities, to all the potential in my life, to the power that comes with the realization:

Every problem bears the seed of opportunity.

says: Hi Jenna, I would recommend a book firts "Getting Things Done - The Art of Stress-Free Productivity" by David Allen. I also have some To Do list templates I have created in Excel. If you use Excel, I would be happy to send them to you. Good luck. Sibby

What is your answer?

I joined TOOLS because:
In my high school yearbook, under the heading "Always Late", you'll see my picture. My classmates voted me the most un-punctual person. Essentially, Procrastination is my middle name. I've got a running to-do list with many items chronicled last summer still unchecked. I struggle with depression and anxiety and my parents are going through a divorce, but enough sob story I'm just glad the family-oriented holiday hell is over and we're back in the swing of things. It occured to me that progress is progressive. Rome wasn't built in a day. It's all about baby steps. My biggest problem is motivation. I like the video coaching here at Tools. The only effort on my part is to sit and listen. So I signed up yesterday and I came back today and I'm taking little tiny baby steps all the way.
You are offered your dream job. What job is it?:
Making movies, making my own merch to sell at my own indie rock concerts, or getting paid to sit around and come up with new uses for old 'junk' i found at thrift stores.
My favorite wild animal is:
 Porcupine.
Why (describe as much as possible):
They make the funniest noises ever. We have them in abundance at our cabin in the northwoods. They sit perched atop trees and make this frustrated whine, sort of a constipated-type sound, in variety of tones from questioning to rageful. Great late night entertainment.
My favorite domestic animal is (if you choose dog be specific with breed etc):
 My cat-like daughter, Billie Boots.
Why:
I'm not one of those crazy cat ladies who talks about their felines obsessively (yet) so I won't even get started. If you really want to know (which I bet you don't) you can always ask.
A famous Chef will prepare anything you want. What do you order:
obviously i'll take whatever he/she is most proud of, please!
If a pilot would fly you anywhere you want, you would go to:
Thanks to recent films, i'm becoming infatuated with the french countryside...
My perfect slice of pizza is:
Loaded up with everything especially banana peppers, no olives, with generous amounts of ranch dressing for dipping.
You are at a bar. You order this drink:
A White Russian, or white wine, or Korbel, or a Bud Select (crisp and refreshing, with a clean finish - yup, it's exactly like it says on the label.)
You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:
Dark roast or espresso over light roast, with cream and sugar. Foo-foo drinks too expensive. I always take a shot at the 10cent trivia too.
If a genie could grant you three wishes they would be (separate by commas):
a bottomless bank account, that I could use to assist all the struggling artists i know, including myself, so that we could all sit around all day and do nothing but create. also, a free buffet in every city in the world, to end world hunger. also, that dog-dragon thing from the neverending story... cuz gas is ridiculous these days and i'd like to get around in style.
If I could do anything for my neighborhood today, it would be:
Install convenient and easy-to-use recycling centers in each home and provide personal use instructions to each neighbor
Any character I could be from a movie, TV show or book would be:
The Little Mermaid. Or else David Bowie's character, The Goblin King, in the (classic) flick "Labyrinth".
