says: As a habitual liar, this one is a toughie. My wife's approach is to try to never lie - exceptions being little white lies that save feelings but are unnecessary. But if pushed to choose, I am sure she would decide not to lie ever. I tend to agree, even if I have habits that make it difficult. And why - because in accepting that it is ok to lie to others, you are allowing yourself to lie to yourself. And you are the one person you need to be honest to yourself - that inner voice, that inner you - the one that sees the good and the not so liked parts of you - that is the guide you need. But if you allow yourself to live a life of lies, you block that part of you. Of course it also prevents fully open and honest relationships with others - something that is probably the most valuable learning we could do. Cheers - Lunagolden
