Avoidance Behavior & Addictions, part deux

It is so easy to rationalize and excuse bad behavior. The EXCUSES and COMPLAINTS fit together like hand in glove.

I had a tough day becomes an excuse for...

I think I will guzzle some beer.....

eat a 12 inch hoagie....

surf mindless internet sites.....

bounce a ball against the wall.....

sniff around for sex...

WHATEVER IT TAKES TO DISTRACT ONE'S SELF FROM PAYING ATTENTION TO ONE'S LIFE.

It takes a very strong will to train the distracted brain.

First Steps

Discovering your complaints and excuses. Noticing what you are doing to avoid the things you need to do. These are great first steps.

You can't fix it if you don't know it is broke.

You can do it, keep going! You can do it, keep going!
