Spread Thanks

CoachSteele-1195606720920828

I want to express a sincere "Thank You" to the entire Tools community.

I hope you all spend some time reflecting on what you are thankful for,

Being thankful changes your perspective on life and allows you to enjoy your everyday.

Lets all share with each other what we are thankful for and try and spread that concept throughout the Tools site, the Internet and the world.

Start a discussion here of what we are each grateful for and maybe spread and expand the idea throughout the site for the holiday.

I also want to wish each of you a fantastic Thanksgiving.  Truly, the idea of giving thanks is one of my favorite holidays. and I like to spread the thought around.

We sent out a great inspiration on an activity you can take part of for the holiday.  In case you did not get it, you can read it at this link:

http://toolstolife.com/video/promo/1

What you can do us Digg it as well and maybe many more people will get the message for the holiday.

I'm leaving for New York to be with my family and will send you all a note from there.

Nameste,

Devlyn

This is GREAT.

I'll start and keep it short for now.

I'm grateful for:

  • Getting to be a daddy
  • Getting to be a husband
  • Being able to consciously create my life on a daily basis.
  • the abilities and talents that have been given to me by the Creator.
  • electricity, plumbing and hot water for my showers in the morning.

Keep rockin',

Sending you lots of love Sending you lots of love

says:

Happy Thanksgiving to those who are celebrating it and Happy day to all.

I'm thankful that I have been given so many chances to fail and succeed in my life.  Through both I have learned so much.  This is to all of you and to the success of trying to get your life on the track you want to take.  I'm grateful for my children, my friends and my life.  I'm grateful to the stranger who smiles.  I'm grateful for so many things and yes I'm grateful for finding this site.

says:

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

I am grateful for my family and friends.

I am grateful for my job and the experiences - both challenging and encouraging it provides

I am grateful for the easy life I have been afforded by god, my parents and my own doing.

I am grateful for the lessons the losses in my life have afforded me

I am appreciative of those moments when I stop admist daily life and taken in the cool, crisp air, the birds singing, the folks around me.

(I love jflyn373's - grateful for the stranger that smiles, it really does make me feel good... and coach's encouragement to become one of them )

I am grateful for technology (and those behind it) and all it affords:  the net; staying warm (or cold) ; fueling our cars; cooking our food.

I am grateful for every man and woman that is part of our armed services.

I am grateful for T2L and its staff from Coach Steele and his team to the folks behind the scenes keeping this site operational.

I am grateful that Devlyn Steele puts forth the effort to bring us this wealth of information.

In my family we have a tradition started by my mother. We find as many candles as we can around the house. We set them on a table and gather around. Each person around the table lights a candle and says something from this year they appreciate, feel grateful for or want to say thanks for. We go around as many times as we want to...while the table lights up with beautiful flame.

I'm Thankful for all the blessings, great and small; every hug; every lesson; every opportunity. I'm  thankful for every word or deed of kindness I witnessed or received this year.

says: Thank you Coach, and the TOOLS team, for incredible dedication, complete faith, and putting your hearts and souls into TOOLS so that as many people as possible can remember to believe in themselves, smile, and have a great day, every day. I believe uplifting others is a type of love. Thanks so much for that.

Hey toolers Wink

in Australia we don't actually celebrate Thanksgiving - which is a pity I think.  Nothing like a yummy Turkey roast, but I wouldn't have wanted one this evening - very humid and sticky here in tropical Queensland!

My variation:  The Grateful Game

I used to (and will start again tomorrow) play this game but I can't remember where I got the idea from:

just spend time doing something routine like driving to work, listing all the things you have to be grateful for.  For example:

- I have adequate shelter, food, water

- I have somewhere to live/sleep

- I have a job to make some $$

- the beautiful clear day I enjoyed this morning

- I have a car to get around in

- I have a wonderful sister and father who love and support me

- I now have my best friend living with me,

my dober-girl Sienna Rose

- I have made some great girlfriends over the last few years, and we do fantastic fund raising work together for Cancer Council

- since I separated in January I've developed a social life that I really enjoy

 - you get the idea??  whatever make YOU grateful for the wonderful lives we've got!

- OOPS nearly forgot - I am SO grateful for

finding Tools for Life :-)

So just take a mundane task and enliven it by playing the Grateful Game (it's kinda like the Coach's no excuses and and no complaints turned inside out?)

Happy Thanksgiving to you all :-)
