Your Privacy

This is the 1st update on the new features Tools provides.

The 1st area we want to update you on is “Your Privacy.”

Tools To Life is using the advance features of social networks to provide a community where individuals can work on self development by using the Tools To Life Program.

Although we want to encourage you to work on your self development by participating in the community, self development can be a very personal and private matter.  With that in mind we have provided for you with many features and layers so that you can decide on the level of privacy you want.

  1. Receiving mail to your personal email address.  If you are receiving any mail that you do not want, even this email, go to your personal profile page, click on “Account Settings” and there you can set the level of notifications you receive.

  1. The Toolbox.  The Toolbox is where you work on your program.  All the features, exercises, Tools in your Toolbox are completely private.  No member of Tools or any Tools Staff has access to anyone else’s Toolbox and you have no way of sharing your Toolbox with anyone else either. This area is completely private to you!

  1. Personal Profile.  Although we want you to be part of the community, you can decide to make your personal profile completely private and then only people you decide can view your profile.  If you do this, you are not giving other members a chance to know who you are and contact you, but that is your choice.  Go to the personal profile page, click on “Edit Profile” change setting to private.

  1. Because all the features in the Tools Personal Profile can individually be set to you privacy level, this gives you the freedom to share and participate as you want.  You will notice on the blog setting, achievements and share, that each has a level of privacy you can set.  You can make an entry private for you only or public or just for members or your friends.  This allows you to go back and forth.  When you set an entry to private, only you will see it.  Each setting you choose is true for members and Tools staff, private means private, you only!  Different thoughts have a different feeling and you can decide what and how you want to share.

  1. Mail: we have added a feature where you can block a sender.  If you are getting contacted by someone and you do not want that person to contact you, you can place them of your block list.

  1. Abuse Report.  The site is growing and will continue to grow.  You are the eyes of Tools.  Every page has a button on the upper right side, “Abuse Report” You can report any member entry or activity that you feel is inappropriate for the Tools staff to review.  We expect all members to behave by a code of decency and treat the site and each other with respect and care.  This is a positive safe environment and we will work to keep it that way and need your help.

With all these features and layers you should feel completely safe to use the site and work on your self development in the manner you choose.

Also, please note: You should never give anyone your personal password.  No member should or should Tools Staff ever ask you for your password.

Keep safe, have fun and let’s all create the lives we want and help others as we do.

Thank You For Your Time,

Devlyn Steele
